I can't speak for LoE, but be wary of shortsighted accusations. One thing I'm fairly certain of is that, especially in the light of Fighting is Magic, they're treading really carefully to steer clear of anything Hasbro may feel misrepresents the FiM franchise. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't like their community talking about or even mentioning death, for that reason.

Yes, it's a forum. It's also LoE's official forum, run by LoE's own staff and designed to represent the game in an official capacity. They have every right in the world to run it the way they feel is best. Rather than getting so caught up in their rules and minutia, which I'm sure their admins have reasons for, it may be better to seek out another forum.
