  1. I've made the mistake of letting the negatives outweigh the positives numerous times. (Which resulted in both Mods and Men and my rant about the internet nowadays.)

Based on some scientific evidence (generally in psychology) it's been found that the reason things like this seem to happen collectively around Christmas and during winter, is because winter can be a very dark and dreary month.

This has a pretty big subconscious effect that most people aren't aware of, and can easily cause one to pick out negatives more easily. This often spirals into radical behavior, and we all know how much people (especially teenagers) love to talk about all the shit they're going through. :D

  2. To some extent, there are things I agree with here. Call me controversial from the rest of the teams perspective, but quite frankly there are a couple staff members that come across as a wee bit too cold or harsh.

However I would like it to be made clear. Rinku's ban was a collective decision that was discussed and considered. I'm honestly not all that happy things had to come to this really, because Rinku was a user I had some respect for when it came to moral values and personal drive. Unfortunately he crossed the line one too many times with those avatars of his despite warnings.

In this case based on a fair amount of gathered evidence, it was fairly clear a final action needed to be taken about Rinku's avatars. While most were borderline, this one was far too suggestive. In the past, Rinku had sent me images to confirm whether or not something would be SFW or not before he used it on the forums. I may be wrong, but as far as I'm aware he did not for this image, which is really too bad, because we may have avoided this whole drama otherwise. :(

If Rinku was your friend, surely there's a way for you to communicate with him still? If you two were friends he must have exchanged some kind of contact info. D:

  3. Let's go by the assumption hell does exist in this statement I'm about to write.

    > Hell isn't bad

Eternity in a lake of fire. That'd really hurt. Just sayin'.

    > 31 times out of 65 sheol means hell. 31 times it means grave. 3 times it means well.

so the way I see it, 95.38% of the time, sheol means something VERY NEGATIVE. Usually something in or under the ground. Who here would like to die and be burried in a grave? Who here would like to go to hell?

  4. Celebrities can be said as public figures, whom people give their attentions to. Look at all these nonsenses. The mod and this Gary Oak are treated like one.

Gary Oak is being treated like a celebrity, yes, but everyone is treating the mod in question like the plague and demon spawn. That doesn't make them a celebrity. Just sayin'. :P

Really though, I have to agree with the previous statements original intent; The mod in question was doing his job, you don't complain about police men putting someone in jail.

  5. butt wi won hef som1 2 reg abott

In all seriousness, why do people care so much about the mods and what they do? It's their job. It's the thing they're wasting their time for.

No one gives a shit about that guy who's working on a farm to produce you food. You don't protest if he puts cow shits to make his soil fertile, in which your food grows. You don't protest about how a police puts someone in a jail for his crime. You don't protest about how cooks murder chickens and serve it on your plate.

Same here. Those mods are just doing their job. Mods are not celebrities. Stop overreacting.

The 'mod' in question isn't being treated like a celebrity. :I They're being treated the exact opposite. :U

  6. My main problem is someone getting banned for something that happened on Skype, if that is what happened. Not everyone is going to agree, that is what opinions are for.

I like how everyone claims they know the story, and that they've got it all figured out.

So let me get this straight. Your Artemis-Hate skype group, has collectively shared the story and decided that you all are in the right and know the full correct story, ultimately ending in Artemis deserving to be demoted.

Bias is a wonderful thing isn't it?

You can tug and pull and fight and flail all you want, but the ones clinging to their decisions don't budge. Both sides, for and against, are guilty of this, including myself. Earlier I was downright pissed off and angry with how the 'userbase' was reacting. Therefore I got angry with others around.

But let me ask you something; When you've made a mistake, when is it easier to admit to it? When everyone is freaking out at you and screaming bloody murder, or when they calmly respond and ask for a little more info and explanation? Put yourself in Artemis's shoes.

I for one agree with the final decision of banning this user. He was causing unnecessary trouble, abuse, and was crying about his warnings to people. (Including flaming and insulting Artemis.) Sure, perhaps allowing the Skype related part to be included in the ban reason shouldn't have happened, but I'm going to scream this to the heavens if I have to. If it still doesn't get through the deaf ears that pervert this fandom at times I will be very displeased.

The Skype trouble was not the only reason for Gary Oaks banning.
