To everyone who thinks the internet is safe: CISPA passed the congress. I have no idea if it passed the white house not.

ACTA passed and that got even more attention than CISPA, and oh look, we're all still here.
Humans take things and run with it. CISPA, nor any of these other things, are the apocalypse of the internet. If things got too far, people and companies with interest in internet advertising schemes would rebel, and a repel of alteration of the wording of the law would occur sooner or later.
