Hehe, that's awesome! I've thought about dressing up as my OC, Dublyn Tea, who is also my avvie. But it appears to be difficult to find mint green wings and ears, so I might have to make them myself. Not sure if I'll have the time, talent, and motivation to do that so... yeah, I'm not sure quite yet.
  2. Hi Shadow! Welcome! I live in Seattle now, but I lived in Portland when I was a child. Some of my favorite memories were made there.
  3. I saw you! And I applaud you for tolerating high heels all day Friday. Even us girls have a hard time doing that at a convention like this!
  4. I can see the picture. Maybe the website really just wasn't available at the time. *shrug* I remember seeing her, she had an awesome, and awful cute, cosplay. But I never met her in person, sorry.
  5. It also sounds like the assumption is being made that everyone will have a bulky professional camera. Little point-and-shoot cameras usually have a wrist band. You literally can just point, *click*, and let go of the camera (hands free!) in less time than it takes the VA to sign their name. Although, agreed, we'll have to verify how strict the rules will be when we get there. I for one will not want to violate them.
  6. That was great! Nice adaptation RainbowShy!
  7. Oh good, I was getting worried that I might be the only one not in costume. Ok, maybe not literally, but I wish I could dress up too. Oh well. Welcome, both of you!
  8. You're not confused. Yeah, they cater mostly to dogs and cats. Actually, they cater mostly to dogs. Of course there's nothing wrong with dogs, as I love them all, but I wish they evened things out among the other pets. It's been a hangup of mine ever since I started working for the company 13 years ago.
  9. (\ Bro-hoof, Fuggles! And Welcome to the club.
  10. Well, if you have a bunch of pets, we may have! I work in the PetsHotel. And heehee, thank you, "my" Fluttershy seems to be a hit here so far. I love her too, but I can't take credit for her.
  11. Yay! Welcome Allys! It's going to be AWESOME! I work in Woodinville.
  12. These are all great! I love looking at people's OC ponies. And I must admit I like the more simple ponies much better than those cluttered with almost every accessory available. :| So each of these get a thumbs up from me. Mine is in my avvie, and I'm in the process of making a more original picture of her, but here's one of my favorite shots of her as of now (I'm sure most of you will recognize that this was for the wedding preparations) - Name: Dublyn Tea Species: Pegasus Cutie Mark: Tea kettle with shamrock Talent: Keeping the peace like sharing a soothing cup of tea, also keeping the culture of the "olde country" alive. And also... Hi Earth Angel!
  13. Thank you! I thought she was cute, too. I can't take credit for the gif though. I only WISH I was that talented.
  14. I've been a fan of Lauren Faust since she and her hubby Craig McCracken worked on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Or, actually, way back when they worked on The Power Puff Girls, though I never got heavily into the PPGs like I did Foster's. I had the pleasure of meeting them both at San Diego's Comic Con back in '09. As I was already an avid fan of hers, I knew the show was coming out before most the rest of the world did. I LOVED the ponies growing up in the '80s, so I was super excited to see the finished project. Naturally, it didn't take much to fall in love with it.
