    The more I listen to In Our Town, the more layers of creepiness arise. Quite frankly, this is the darkest FIM song. Much, much darker than This Day Aria.

      You get plenty of "horror" movies that rely on shock to scare the audience. TCM toys with the actual emotions of not just the ponies, but the audience. The level of grimacing, cringing, and shock come from raw emotion and subtlety in the writing.

       

      I haven't swooned over an FIM episode like this in a long time, possibly since Magic Duel. Even Pinkie Pride I didn't get THIS excited about.
