Out of all twenty episodes, Gideon Rises is easily the saddest and most hopeless. The entire cast is so desperate to save the Mystery Shack, yet Gideon has the upper hand every time. Stan's out of money, so he can't buy food or take care of them. But he doesn't want to. He loves them too much to leave…yet loves them too much to stay. The only way he could really save them is to buy them tickets to go home. Stan's at his most vulnerable, and that makes his scenes and faces crushing to watch.
