  1. Got my ticket to see The Last Jedi next week! Can't wait to see it! ^^

(And not stay the hell clear from SW spoilers as long this time!)

You shouldn't let your expectations of a prior film in a series or that's related, judge your impression of future films down the same line. I wasn't terribly impressed by The Force Awakens either, but I wasn't disappointed. That whole discussion is for another day of course if there ever is a Star Wars discussion topic here or I find it.

I wasn't terribly impressed by the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2, while promising, wasn't what I considered an "exceptional" film. But Toy Story 3 defied my expectations and was arguably the best one. Outside of chronology, like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, although sequels are often made as cash cows and service to fans, I do think there's an unfair bias against them, which is often unwarranted.

At least watch the film or give it a chance before you judge it on a forgone conclusion.

Thought it was decent (not the best -- that honor goes to either The Empire Strikes Back or Return Of The Jedi, IMO -- obviously, but still decent), actually; just hated the sheer Happy Ending Override after ROTJ (a.k.a. one of the most-iconic happy endings of all time).

@Cwanky Good point but I was never a big fan of star wars in the first place and frankly I'm just not interested in seeing more. Also, I'm not saying it's "terrible" etc. I'm not judging it, I'm simply saying I have no interest in watching it. There's a difference between saying a film is bad and saying you just don't have interest in it, which shouldn't be such a big deal.
