    EQG does some things better than FIM. Aside from Spike back in the day (and, yes, overall, too), Angel here's far more likable.

      I agree Sunset Shimmer has developed arguably better as a supporting character than perhaps even Starlight. There does seem to be more room for growth of characters and plots in EG than FiM, likely due to the far less linear and scheduled nature of the show.
