Yes, he still runs VILE, but is very protective of her. When Coach Brunt was about to squeeze her to death, he knocked her unconscious, saving Carmen's life. He admitted what she long suspected: In his final exam, she had to pick the pocket with the dollar bill inside; it was empty. Meanwhile, Chief is now convinced that Carmen has gone full rogue after Chase Devineaux was severely hurt with her inside that hideaway. Now, will that tone continue in the second half? I'm not so sure. If anything, it'll likely return to the formula of old: discover their plots, foil them, and elude ACME. At least till it nears the end.
