Dark Qiviut

Time and time again, Mayor Pete shows to be a corrupt Republican in Democratic clothing.

1. Took the No Fossil Fuel money pledge, yet takes money from their tycoons, one of whom wine cave billionaire Craig Hall.
2. Claimed to have 400 Black South Carolinian endorsements for his Frederick Douglass plan, yet about half of them are white, and one of the "top endorsers" works for the Sanders campaign!
3. Faked a victory in the Iowa caucuses before any percentage came out, causing a media blitz that has put him close to Sanders.
4. Until this week, he didn't say "Black Lives Matter" on Twitter once.
5. While mayor, he tried to fire his Black police chief (only to "demote" him for a white chief), didn't award any contracts to Black-owned firms for three consecutive years, and tore down houses to gentrify predominantly African-American neighborhoods.
6. Claimed to be a small-donor campaigner, yet has taken money from over 40 billionaires!
7. Initially trying to coo the Sunrise Movement into endorsing him, he lies about them being part of a pro-Sanders "dark money" pact and tries to raise funds off of it.
8. His campaign literally inserted canned applause during tonight's town hall!
    

I can't stand Mayor Pete, but his momentum (especially among older, conservative white voters) worries me greatly.
