And now…I begin my part in the MLP 30 Day Challenge! Like @ShadOBabe, I'm not as in depth with EQG as some others. I still haven't seen most of the S1 & 2 shorts or any other special past Forgotten Friendship, so what I cover from them will be the four films, the three episodic "Magic" episodes, the RR shorts, and Forgotten Friendship.

So, let's begin!

Day 1: Favorite mane character!

This is too easy. She's been my favorite overall since Day 1 as a brony!

She has the instant charm of being someone you want to talk to immediately. Despite timid and aggressive streaks, she's approachable, warm to everyone (especially the animals), and has a subtle humor that blends with her evolving character. After her character recovered from a dry spell from seasons 2 through 4, she was written much better, notably from Flutter Brutter, Discordant Harmony, and Health of Info.

Hurricane Fluttershy is her best episode. What was originally just seen as "shyness" evolved into something much deeper: a crippling phobia that affects everything she does. Stage fright isn't a joke, and the episode plays into that with very impactful visuals and audio. Her road to face her phobia and help the pegasi conquer the 800-wingpower minimum. At first, her attempt to improve was unimpressive, hurting her confidence. But during a time of needed help, she stepped up in an emotionally satisfying climax to conclude one of the most emotional pre-S4 episodes.
