A question: What are your favorite FIM episodes?

Hey, sorry I didn't respond to your question before now; I've been busy in real life and with other posts I was making, and this kind of fell by the wayside.
The short answer to your question is that I don't really have any pre-made list of favorite episodes. I haven't even tried to make any lists of favorite or least favorite episodes, nor have I tried to give any kind of quantitative rankings to episodes.

The best way to know MLB season is just about to fully return? Reading news about the Oakland A's not being able to use their O.co Coliseum locker rooms because of raw sewage. AGAIN!

Usually for an FIM episode, "it's not the destination, but the journey." Well, when the episode's story is so down the letter with nothing unique to keep things fresh, it can easily become an average episode at least (i.e., LoF) and terrible at worst (Dragon Quest, Rainbow Falls).

@Chikorita: I concur. Leap of Faith did have some good things (AJ's characteriztion [Haber's great at this], Silver Shill, the lost continuity of Granny's hip finally addressed), but the plot's so obvious from beginning to end, and it doesn't hide it. For the most part, Haber's three stories follow the book, but little does he deviate from it.

LoF: Good characterization of Applejack and good background gags, but marred by a very predictable story that doesn't dare to switch it up nor camouflague the Flim Flam Brothers' fraud without obliviousness and stupidity. Easily the most average episode this season.

Watching the two-game set between the Mets and Blue Jays in Montreal's Olympic Stadium makes me hope to see Major League Baseball back in Montreal again.

One thing I've learned when analyzing and reviewing episode is how if you can't get the bigger picture correct, then the smaller details are moot. I can analyze the good smaller things for Spike at Your Service, but the bigger things are badly mishandled.

Here's a question: How much do you guys hate The Legend of the Titanic and its sequel, Tentacolino? (I only saw six minutes of a Tentacolino review, and I just lost some brain cells.)

How ironic. When Polsky wrote his first six episodes, they were shrouded in controversy and were sometimes the most disliked. Now he's on a roll with three fantastic episodes. (For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils is quite good, and I may call this one of the best this season if it holds up.)
