Pete Buttigieg's whole presidential gig is "it's my destiny to be president, and I'll do it no matter the cost!" In his eight years, he's done jack shit to improve the lives of Black, Brown, and working-class people in his town, and he just tried to tokenize them in a sham town-hall event, only to have BLM South Bend protest it. After lying about Warren's and Sanders' college-for-all plans and implicating that people who can't go to college are too dumb for it, Krystal Ball let him have it, and deservedly so!
Buttigieg is the definition of privilege! As much as I despise Biden, Pete's blatant entitlement makes him more loathsome.

Adventure Time never interested me, but it earns a lot of credit. That show not only helped jump start Cartoon Network's climb out of its "no-cartoon" fad and into an era of good cartoons to come, but it also commenced the renaissance of cartoons that resulted in the likes of FIM, Gravity Falls, DuckTales 2017, and SU.

You’d think that with Lapis, Pearl, and Rose that SU wouldn’t have any more room for new characters with really tragic pasts. Spinel’s backstory through the song Drift Away is tragic beyond comprehension.

Question to the Steven U bronies: When did you first start guessing that…
SpoilerPink Diamond and Rose Quartz were the same person?

How cute that the slobbering far-right British press is perfectly fine with Boris Johnson's lying, anti-POC racism, and Islamophobia, but will scream the "anti-semite!" lie at Jeremy Corbyn every time they get the chance. The British MSM is every bit as bad as America's.

Happy Sweet Potato Casserole Day, bronies!

I'm honestly surprised that no one has compiled the full set of appearances of Bugs' idiosyncratic catchphrase in video form at this point. Understandably, watching the full filmography of 164 (I believe?) shorts in addition to the various modern reincarnations WB has attempted is no lean feat, but I assume it wouldn't be entirely un-enjoyable either.
Having viewed all 1000 of the original LT shorts as of this September (what has my life come to...?), Bugs' finest moments in general tend to stem from the mid-late '40s shorts, most notably gems such as "Easter Yeggs" ("it's the suspense that gets me!"), "Long-Haired Hare" and the 'all-out job' scatting dance from "Hot Cross Bunny" (not to mention the immortal "what a maroon!" retort, which has stuck with me through the years for some obscure reason). Ah yes, good times... contemplating on the 473 shorts remaining until the end of four long years.

@Them's Seeing Ponies All 1000?
That's something I've been planning to do for a while (maybe next year in honor of the 90th anniversary?)... I think I've seen about 600, though it's been a few years.

On a lighter note, the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot has been out for a couple of weeks! Writers from the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) can pick any up to ten or can submit a blank ballot. Writers have until 12/31 to mail it out, postmarked.
Here's a virtual ballot, courtesy of NotMrTibbs — Ryan Thibodaux — on Twitter!

Lots of good choices, and these would be mine so far:
- Bobby Abreu
- Barry Bonds
- Roger Clemens
- Derek Jeter
- Andruw Jones
- Scott Rolen
- Gary Sheffield (+1)
- Billy Wagner
- Larry Walker (+1)
#10's down to Helton, Kent, Lee, Ramírez, or Vizquel. I'm leaning to Vizquel.

One of my favorite Twitter political accounts is from Lee J. Carter, a card-carrying Democratic Socialist from Virginia who ousted the defending Republican Whip in 2017 and put a powerful state Republican seat in Democratic control.
I agree with him and one of his comments: Opposition toward repealing the destructive "right-to-work" law shouldn't make him not work hard to eliminate it, and I don't mind him running for governor of the state.

>Buttigieg at the start of the campaign
"I'm a progressive!"
>accepts mega contributions from Big Pharma and Big Money
"Hi, I'm trying to out-Republican Trump!"

Lapis has become my favorite SU character. Now Lapis/Steven's becoming my favorite ship.

@ShadOBabe Because they show great chemistry when they talked to each other. Steven healed her gem (healing her powers and eyes), and his infectious personality rubbed on her.
This wonderful scene is where I began to ship 'em:

Binge-watching Steven Universe clips, and I think I have a bonafide favorite character of the series.

@Bas Only watched a few episodes, but just couldn't get into it. I'm still trying.

White Diamond *stomping hands on ground*: You’re just…acting like a child!
Steven Universe: I am a child. What’s your excuse?
*leaves the Diamond mine, as it need cloudfuls of ice for that burn*

There are a lot of things to criticize Buttigieg for. His firing of an African-American police chief, his poor relations with Black people and their gentrification of neighborhoods, his flip-flopping on Medicare for All after taking plenty of corporate money from Big Pharma, touting a new plan to help African-American people by lying to top Democrats over who’s endorsing it, and now a video of him speaking at a Tea Party gathering from 2010.
But this mocking of the (choreographed) High Hopes dance is ridiculous and the least of my concerns.

Roberto Clemente's widow Vera was a fantastic ambassador to the game of baseball and helped keep her late husband's legacy alive almost fifty years following his death. She passed away over the weekend, but the game of baseball and its fans will be forever indebted to her. RIP, Vera.
