One of the cats is outside meowing to come in, but I can't really be bothered to get up, maybe I should just say I couldn't hear him and blame the ringing in my ears for it.

Yes. One of our actual cats just eats everything, she has something wrong, tablets still aren't working. She is eating literally everything edible.
I had a bowl of coleslaw last night from where I forgot to have it with my dinner, she went into it and took a load out to eat, but we stopped her from eating most of it.
