    Ok so now my internet is slowing down to between 0 and 8 Kbps. 8 Kilobits per second. Slower than dial-up. Why must it do this to me?

    It isn't permanent but it's doing it.

      what virus-scan shows?

      do you have any service-centers nearby? they've could run diagnostics and tell you where's the problem.

      since every other internet-connected devices in your house works fine, then it's definitely your lap or corrupt system files.
