Well that's incredibly disappointing. Got some mint hot chocolate and while it did smell good at first, it just tastes like I washed the cup by hand and instead of rinsing it, filled it with water and drank that. I can still kinda smell it but it smells odd too. My guess is there's something wrong with the water in the Keurig, which wouldn't be surprising, knowing my family. Thought it'd be fine because my mother has been drinking coffee from it but... No.

most capsule machines it is important to run a cleaning cycle *and* wash the water tank out with hot soapy water regularly
Personally I find a kettle is more than good enough for hot water, so I don't own a capsule machine - I use a french press for my coffee (though I do have filter machines and an aeropress I bought to try, and don't use) because they are made of glass and it is easy to check you got it properly clean (glass cups for my coffee, for the same reason)
But mint hot chocolate IS awesome,and makes an even better mocca if you stir it into freshly brewed coffee

I don't drink coffee so this is the first time I've used the Keurig since last year lol
My parents seem to just be oblivious to this shit. I'd think they'd take care of it but they'd rather just accept that it's happening. Same with the Brita filter we had. It got moldy or whatever and instead of replacing it they decided to keep drinking it, ignoring the fact that it was making me horribly sick.
Anyway I doubt they've cleaned it once since we got it.
