not really

damn i'm kinda tempted to just show my actual exact location just to clear up all the confusion but i'd rather not

there's only woods (and the occasional building like a school) for a mile to the west and about 2,000 ft east. but going east the only way i can go is to a grocery store. there's nothing else in that direction. but i have to go east of where i live, then north to the highway, then walk down that highway for a while before i get to that store. that's a total of 1.2 mi, and impossible to walk in snow due to the highway bit.

to the west, the closest place i can work is 2.28 mi away... and that's if i could just cut through everything. having to actually follow the roads, it's 2.72 mi, or 2.77 mi if i go the safer way with less cars. also... probably not possible in snow.

thinking about it now, i don't think i can really walk anywhere in snow... the sidewalks just get covered by plows pushing the snow off the roads. the sidewalks don't get cleared at all, only covered.

basically, not having transportation makes it pretty much impossible to get anywhere

Sorry man, that actually sucks. I live out in the country and the closest store is 5 miles away - closest city with more than just a gas station is 10 miles. I have to drive over an hour just to get to work.

Damn, that really sucks.
