Aw, this is still here? That's pretty old now. I barely ever was staff lol. Just a part of the Golden Oaks Library thing, though I hardly did anything for it.Heck, I didn't even get the former staff tag in the forum!It's kinda sad. I enjoyed doing it when I had a chance to. But my parents decided to bring a new child to life, and... man, small children are so noisy for such small creatures. In the end, I just didn't get a proper shot unfortunately.
How's the Library doing, anyway? I haven't checked up on it in a long time.

Serious question, because I saw it a long time ago. If there really is a new no politics rule, when was it added? Scared to find out I might've messed up a while back by not knowing the rules changed. Not that it matters too much I guess since I never got in trouble, but still

Me as a conservative, now that there is an interesting theory of yours, but I'm not here to talk about your impressions.
Leaving soon, that's an actually good idea. Tension around here grows in seconds disregard who do you side with or if you stay neutral. Also, being horsefamous within this place grants you far too much power with people. That there makes the forums a minefield. Upset the wrong user, even if you mean to help, and you can expect a mob at your door -and sometimes warns or even temporary bans-. Even befriending people can explode on your face if you're careless. Take your chance and find a better place, or stick to the ones who remain neutral elsewhere.
And if you ever wonder why am I here, well, I put the blame on being loyal to those who help me up. Despite all the dramas and the thick GoT like plotting, there's still a few decent peeps around. Probably not worth stepping into the minefield.

Trust me, these last 3 months have been a rollercoaster and I noticed more cynism about such things lately. I think these kind of communities are probably the worst around the fandom and they get worse over time. Amino and this forum roll pretty much the same way with the play nice policies that get bended by a few users. Can't say it is a newbloods thing since we had several problems in those little circlejerks back in 2011 outside friendly communities if not back at 2010 at /co/, but even back at derpy and the IRCs we had less people shitting on each other (if any, usually the troublesome people were Seth and his guys who made it big anyway). Hopefully a couple years ago this forum had no need to shut down entire subforums and ban people over politics. I wasn't here to know anyway.
It's funny, reminds me of something an anon once said. Is not that we all changed, is just that some people is no longer willing to tolerate each other and that's what makes the fandom fall apart.

In the state of New York, you no longer have the right to free speech. You no longer have the right to peaceably assemble. Not that you really did to begin with, clearly, but now it's official. The first amendment is worthless. You cannot protest.
This decision must be overturned or it will be abused.
Still, you can't give up. Don't let them win. The future of the country depends on it.
