Taking A Small Yet Big Step: Coming Out Of The Brony Closet
Clod replied to GXPBlast's topic in Sugarcube Corner
That reminds me of a time I was watching MLP on TV as my dad got home from work right after I changed the channel when it was over. Also, if anyone else is willing to do this, tell their parents (they can't already know) and record it and post it on YouTube, feel free to do so. You do it, and I'll do it. It would be for fun. -

movies/tv Have you judged a cartoon before watching it.
Clod replied to Lankman's topic in Media Discussion
Yup. MLP. I originally watched it as a joke and told myself I would be torturing myself. Now look at me. Been a brony for over a year, if only I knew exactly when I started. -
20+ times per day for each, many hours. I could not get "MY NAME IS PINKIE PIE, AND I AM HERE TO SAY" out of my head at all today. Basically, my brain is so full of ponies, I sometimes just randomly start singing. I always stop it, but just barely. Other times, I almost bring it up in conversations with non- and anti-bronies. It might also be why my grades in school are bad. I almost start singing sometimes, always almost making references (I stop myself) and sometimes can't think of anything else. Maybe if I had a friend irl that was also a brony I could talk to, that would help, but nope.

I'd be a unicorn. I'd live right near Twilight. Of course, a nice house. My pet would be a cat if I had one. I'd hang out with anypony that wanted to, even though I'd probably react a little bit like Fluttershy did when Twilight first approached her, but I'd get used to everypony after a while and we would have fun. My job? Uhh, helping Twilight. Yup, that's what I'm going to go with. Really, helping anypony that needed me to.

I don't know what I've been so worried about. My mom let my little brother watch FiM and when I said "I thought you were trying to keep him away fron My Little Pony" she said "What's so wrong with My Little Pony?" My dad and I like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and used to like PPG and he still likes the old Transformers so he can't say anything to me either. Come on, me! Stop being so scared!

I don't have any MLP stuff and do everything MLP related on my iPod Touch when everyone thinks I'm sleeping. I have told only a couple close friends. I just made the mistake of telling one person on my bus a few weeks ago. He seemed ok with it at first, but he kept screaming about rainbow ponies and stuff. I tried to get him to be quiet because one of my friends thinks people shouldn't be bronies but seems to be ok with one person he knows is a brony (and its quite obvious, he has a couple of Derpy things) but I don't want him to find out about me. He now keeps telling me that "My Little Ponies" will rape me while I'm sleeping. My parents don't seem like they could know without saying things (even though my dad and I used to love Power Puff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) and I don't want them to think badly of me.

How secretive are you about being a brony/pegasister and why?
Clod replied to Anonymous~'s topic in Sugarcube Corner
Well, only one person knows. He only knows because my family would probably not react too well. Him, he's been my friend for 2 years and I've learned I can trust him because he knows he can trust me. I only wish I could watch the new episodes every Saturday (I wouldn't wake up on time anyway, but I could always set an alarm) and eat a bowl of cereal watching ponies. Instead, I wait until I go to bed so I can watch it on my iPod which isn't as fun probably. Hey Hasbro? How about new episodes at 12:30 instead? -
Young closet brony. Only one friend knows. He kept it a good secret for a while but one day at lunch he was talking about having me watch this Sonic show, saying clearly that I would love it like I love MLP. Thank Celestia I don't think anyone was listening. Then in science, he says I have bad "brony habits"??? I never talked to him about it so I have no idea. Now I decided to tell him it's not all tea parties and crap and he asked me questions about the different generations. He said he would watch 3.5 to get his idea of the show -_- luckily he was kidding, but he won't shush about it... Okay this is getting off topic. Anyways, my school is full of closed-minded people who aren't my friends anyway. My parents have seen the show without me even knowing (little brother who wouldn't shut up about it after my dad called me My Little Pony boy [this really worried me but made me excited at the same time. I thought he found out but was okay with it] so they wouldn't be able to blame me for that. It just gives me an excuse to watch it. He called me My Little Pony boy because I used to play with the toys when I was 3-4. My dad had called the show a curse on humanity and my mom hasn't shown an opinion except she looked mad when I said in a joking voice "Isn't this show great?" while my little brother was watching. I don't know what her problem was, it was a joke (as far as she knows ) This means I really can't tell them without hate... good thing I don't want any pony stuff. It would make the Ozzy Osbourne/Metallica/Iron Maiden posters on my wall look like they don't belong... my dad knows bronies exist (not by the name though) and so does my grandmother. She called us gay but when I asked why she said that I said it, meaning she probably was getting suspicious because I was defending us. Doesn't help I had a little fun with the FiOS app on my iPod putting MLP on her tv (she left the room each time after a couple minutes sadly, and I can't get her to stay to watch a whole episode.) Why is it everyone but one friend would hate me? And there are no bronies at my school that I know of. So difficult when I want to watch the new episode when it comes out.

I knew a brony. He stopped recently. He didn't even know I was. So much fail. Edit: He is now saying he never was and his family got him a Pinkie figure and he only watched 8 episodes. I don't understand how you can watch 8 episodes if you don't like it... He doesn't even talk to me anymore. My friend saw PONIES the Anthology I and he said he liked the My Little Jackass part. I have a picture of the email he sent me telling me that he liked it. I'll put it at the bottom if I remember. He also said that if he becomes a brony, he will kill me. Think I'll try to get him to watch the end of Season 4. He'd like part of it. So much edit: Yup. He has said I have turned him into a brony. My work here is done. I know because he is learning the names (never mentioned AJ to him, he brought her up in a conversation).

Worst and Best Reaction of Telling Someone You're a Brony
Clod replied to lighting flash's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Friday I almost revealed it to my dad. I was watching MLP until it was over. Right after the last episode ended and I changed the channel, he got home. Saturday I had planned to watch Power Ponies but I didn't wake up in time. Stupid me using my iPod all night every night until it dies. I planned on having the alarm go off to wake me up. Also, my little brother has gotten into the show (he's only 3) and my dad has called the show a curse on humanity... basically this means it would be hard to explain without hate. *sigh* Why must people make these things so hard to explain? At least there is a brony on my bus who I joke about it with (I told him to eat a unicorn, then said it was a joke and not to take it seriously, hopefully he didn't)
