Odd. In my experience, emotion is the one causing irrational thought. Take depression as an example. Why would you ever want to harm yourself? Maybe even others? Then also look at happiness. You're trying to block out the bad in life. Ignore it.

Only with no emotion can you think truly rationally about it. There is good. There is bad. You have little to no control a good amount of the time. All you can do is go with what happens and make the best of it.
