When you learn math, you learn how to do something, then apply it to different situations and numbers. It's less to remember. Also, you may need it for a later lesson.
When you learn history, you learn a ton of facts and dates, then answer some questions on a test, then dump it from your memory. You will never need this again, and all you did was remember and forget. Taking notes on history is really annoying, because any little fact could end up on a test or exam, but there's no way to know which things will. In my case, I go through hours of reading to finish a section. Tons of facts of varying importance. Then I take a 20 question exam at the end of the lesson. Probably around 95% of what I read was for nothing. But many of the questions had nothing to do with the "key points" and stuff. They were small details from forever ago that seemed unimportant.
Math is different. Learn how to do a thing, then have multiple questions to make sure you understand how to do the thing. Take an exam to show that you understand how to do the thing. Done.
And that's why I've always been better at math than history. Bad memory and inability to take notes.
But we're not done. I have multiple things to talk about so instead of making multiple status updates, let's make one big one that no one will read.
My parents got donuts without telling me again lol. My laundry is finally being done after needing it for weeks (been wearing this shirt for at least 3 or 4). We've eaten restaurant food 4 or 5 times in the past two weeks. We really can't afford to do this shit. My father hasn't been working much. That also means I don't really get any quiet. We're going camping around my birthday, so I can expect to get nothing at all this year too. Plus the baby, so it's pretty much guaranteed. Can't wait to get a job so I can just get shit for myself. I could have months taken off my schoolwork if my credits transferred but that's not happening I guess which is why I'm doing civics again. I hate civics. It's the thing I started almost a year ago and procrastinated for so long on. It's history, but for government. Yay. Whatever, I'm gonna go kill some people with my fists in Skyrim. Idk what else to do.

Some advice:
1) how old are you? Ask your mom how to do your own laundry and help out your family
2) ask your parents if you can help with the shopping and home cooking.
3) Don't be jealous of a baby - they need it more than you do. As Scrooge asked the Ghost of the Present "why a poor the most,", because it needs it most.
4) are you old enough to get a job? If not, volunteer your time and energy at school or other functions. Learn a few skills and practice working with others. I wish I did when I was younger.
5) you could study instead of Skyrim. You could go volunteer and work instead of Skyrim. You could ask your parents",how can I help the house" instead of Skyrim. There's plenty you can do.

1) i'm 17, i cannot walk with laundry to my grandparents' house, so i cannot do laundry
2) i cannot do shopping as i have no license, don't know how to cook though i wouldn't have a problem with doing it
3) i'm not jealous of baby, there was no baby last year and i still got nothing lol
4) massachusetts state laws say that i need a permit which my parents need to sign because i'm under 18
5) i went to sleep instead of playing skyrim
