  1. Yeah...more "bipedal" than than full "anthro" Heck, thanks to EQG, creatures resembling humans are officially out of the question. Just look at the yeti...
  2. I'd be very annoyed, but not surprised. Heck, I would've kinda saw it coming. It's exactly the kind of stunt Hasbro would pull...
  3. Maybe the first scene will (should?) be a brief bit about Pinkie bringing everyone up to speed. "Hiya! I know a lot you know about me and my friends, but for the ones who don't, it's kinda like this..."
  4. OH YEAH! Can't believe I forgot that one >_< (and South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut)
  5. Allow me then *ahem* The 80s MLP movie (heh) The 80s Transformer movie Movies based on Nicktoons (2 for Rugrats, 2 for SpongeBob Sqaurepants, The Wild Thornerries, the TWT/RR crossover, and Hey Arnold.) Movies based on Disney Cartoons (Ducktales, Recess, and Teacher's Pet come to mind. I think there are some more) Doug's First Movie The Powerpuff Girls Movie The Power Rangers Movie and Turbo: A Power Ranger's Movie Countless anime movies spawned by a hit TV show. Every major anime series has a few. Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z are the biggest examples. For other examples: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_cartoons
  6. Aye, there's the rub...if it, like all the other movies begat by a cartoon show or anime, will pander to fans while telling everyone else in the world to screw off...or if it will try to go easy on the non-fans & parents in the audience and let them get in on it fairly well...
  7. It's coming out at a decent time, sandwiched between the Summer Box Office Rush, and Holiday movie season, with little or no animated/kid's/family films to pose direct opposition, at least not that I'm aware off. Though what all IS coming out next October (not to mention late September) anyways?
  8. Preferraby featuring Catrina and Rep from that old special Though there is NO way Hasbro would ever go there...
  9. Probably not. Though I wouldnt be too surprised if A) She took part in a Leigon of Doom-style villain team, or helped the main villain, then join the Mane 6 near the end because he's a bigger jerk.
  10. That shouldn't be a problem since they release their animated epics in November. Also, Blade Runner shouldn't be a problem since it's an apples and oranges situation. Though please jog my crappy memory: What all IS coming out October (not to mention late September) 2017 anyways?
  11. I can't wait for some screenshots or footage to see how they look. In particular, what would really be fun is a Pinkie Pie themed 4th wall breaking teaser with the Mane 6 looking themselves over and talking about it. Fluttershy: Does anypony else feel a little...rounder? Rarity: Ooooh! We look absolutely stunning, Darling! *poses*
  12. That, my little cherub, depends entirely on how much this one does at the Box Office. If it's very sucessful, Yes. If it flops, No. Heck, for all we know it could even have a middle ground where it does well enough to spawn some home media sequels in place of threatrical ones...
  13. I don't know...the Comics and the Show seem too different to mesh well. Though to be fair, the Show has been a little more like the Comics lately. Just as long as the Comics' suckiness doesn't affect the Show too much (it has it's own problems enough as it is). What I'm interested in is if creatures from the Comics can appear in the Show now...
  14. At first it played like a regular episode, with Starlight in the spotlight. Ugh. Then adding Trixie helped though. I'm glad Starlight felt cirppling guilt/remorse for her actions. Especially since that bit from "The Cutie Re-Mark" was WAY too fast. However, after getting a slap on the wrist for doing terrible things with magic several times, it doesn't work for me. Fortunately, things really picked up when th actually story started. Seeng those "secondary characters" play Gaurdians of the Galaxy to the Mane 6's Avengers was rather entertaining. Especially since they had to rely on their wits and what was available instead of magic. Especially Discord (whose Flutterlove was showing big time ). However...I too am not happy with the resolution For starters, I always wished the Changelings had gotten more appearances. The idea of an evil group of shapeshifters lends itself to to many story possibilites...and now that's gone Oh sure, there might more out there, but for the time being it looks like this the end of them. Thanks Celestia Chrysalis went "screw that!" and fled to plot revenge! (though no time travel this time). The real problem is that the Hive seemed way too quick to reform. A little debating, some right words, and seeing what happened to Thorax and PRESTO-CHANGO--literally!--they all went good just like *snaps fingers* that. It was still entertaining, interesting and enjoyable...but could've been better.
  15. Danggit, Hasbro, you're encouraging that whole "Mac-and-AJ-are-Applebloom's-Parents" thing... The writers not being allowed to say Ma & Pa Apple are dead? Fine. But they should at least be able to say they existed. Especially when the issue is staring us in the face like this.
  16. It IS suspicious, ain't it? 6 seasons and over 120 episodes and not even a hint of her home life, unlike the other two. For all we know, the house we saw in "Flight to the Finish" could be the Ponyville Orphanage... I'm glad there's something from Lauren herself...unfortunately, considering she hasn't been involved since Season 3, her word doesn't mean as much as it used to.
  17. Not so much "the boot" as she needs to be punished or made to face the consequnces of her actions. She's done all kinds of reprehensible things, and gets off easy. Even the ponies from the Town forgave her in seconds! I know they want to teach kids about forgiveness...but it's also showing them that you can get away with anything as long as you apologize...<_<
  18. Oh. Okay then. Sounds like case another case of them thinking "Eh, the kids won't think much of it". Nevermind. Sorry, everyone, sorry.
  19. Ugh. I am SO over you, Starlight. This is the episode that broke the camel's back She casts the Imperious Curse on the Other 5 and turns them into mindless zombie slaves...and gets away with it after a clichéd, sappy apology that makes up for nothing. When Pinkie Pie is mad, that's a sign you've REALLY bucked up. Oh sure, you could say it was Starlight bringing it on herself & it biting her in the flank, but she she STILL used mind control for petty reasons. I'm not even sure I'd be able to buy it or even care if she got a better reformation like Discord. Surely I'm not the only person getting annoyed and a little appalled at how she keeps getting off the hook for doing awful, reprehensible things... There are parts I liked, mainly AJ spouting oneliners (even if they're pop culture references) that may or may not have something to do with Ma and Pa and Fluttershy's love of animals going to far, but at the end of the day it's Starlight showing how much she sucks at this even worse than Season 1 Twilight did. Also, we just had this moral in "Flutter Brother"...though I think it was done better here.
  20. It's happened several time throughout the show where they gave a measurement of time as "(something) moons". "100 moons" in Apple Famiy Reunion, "A thousand moons' in the Party Pooped, and now "20 moons" and "80 moons" in the latest episode (along with some others). Though it makes me curious: how long is that supposed to mean? I realize that it's just a show for little girls and I should really just relax, but I'm still curious. One thing I remember is people saying that it was over 8 years between Apple reunions, but that just doesn't really seem to be the case. Thoughts?
  21. Lots of animated films get little teasers about a year or a little under before their release, often with stuff that isn't in the final product. Me, I'm thinking a li'l something just to let us know it's on the way in a family or children's movie in October at the earliest. Though it'll probably be later. I'm thinking something involving Pinkie Pie and her 4th Wall Breaking that won't tell us much, but still get our attention. Especially if 3D is involved!
  22. It started out fun and interesting...then we got a predictable moral about "pressure vs. fun" that's been done in many, many other cartoons & kids' shows that destracted from it. Still, at least we got this...
  23. That was fun. Having AJ & Fluttershy as the stars was interesting in itself (we don't see just them together much). Having various Vegas references was neat, and it was a treat seeing Flim & Flam again, especially with them at each other's throats, then helping our heroines. It was even better that after the story was over, they went back to tricking ponies for to make a quick bit Gladmane was a nice touch. It's always refreshing to seeing a pony who acts nice, but is actually up to no good like more so many real life scumbags. Heck, I was more into him doing it than Starlight! I am kind of disapointed that the resort was more like a theme park and arcade/fun center than an actual casino, but we kinda should've saw it coming since gambling isn't allowed in children entertainment (I think. I have trouble keeping up with how it's supposed to work) Also...was that Muffin's long lost brother (or her oldest illegitimate offspring)?!
  24. I'll use this as Exhibit B ("No Second Prances" being Exhibit A) on why Bronies like minor characters/incidents over the main characters/plot. I know I did. I liked filly Rarity losing "Most Creative Cart" to Muffins. I liked Snips & Snails, especially when you think about how they have a good point (they seldom actually learn anything at that school... ) . Liked Bulk's cameo. Liked the chicken references from Scootaloo (even she's been swept up in that meme!). ...but I DIDN'T like seeing Rarity, Dash, and AJ being completely selfish, inconsiderate, and a little bitchy until the climax. There's being thoughtless, and then there's being those other 3. The worst part was the montage of the older one immediately undoing the CMC's work without talking to them about it or even thinking about it. Not to mention Rarity's exchange with Cheerilee, which was just a bitch move. I know characters have done questionable, uncharacteristic things before because the story & moral required it--which has happened quite a bit in S6 here--but this is just too much. Celestia knows this'll give Applejack's reputation as Worst Pony another shining black eye...
