  1. Question of the Day: Why is it called a "building" when it's already built?

  2. I had a feeling something like this would happen. So long as this spin-off doesn't interfere with the quality and the production of FiM, and if they don't do anything too ridiculous, I'll be happy. Either way, this should be interesting.

  4. I'm sorry, but I just watched the finale and I just had to get this out. This finale was so awesome! It was so awesome that if you were to look up the word "awesome" in the dictionary, the bottom of the section on the definition would read "See TWILIGHT'S KINGDOM!!!" :D As others have probably said or probably thinking right now, it's going to be pretty hard for the writers to top this finale, but I feeling optimistic. I have faith in their equine-based, friendship-centered writing abilities. Looking forward to season 5. (R.I.P. Ponyville Library 2010-2014)

Just goes to show what happens when you try to out-code a computer specialist.

  8. The one thing I never understood was how Principal Celestia never interfered or dealt with Sunset Shimmer's acts of tyranny over the school's social hierarchy. You'd think that a principal with the wisdom, cunning, and foresight that matches an immortal alicorn princess, would have at least noticed or figured out that Sunset has been bullying her students and splitting them into cliques and using her power to ensure that she stays in control of everybody, maybe even suspect that Sunset has something to hide. I don't know, she should've at least done something. Then again, if Principal Celestia is anything like Princess Celestia, than she might have a habit of staying out of trouble's way and letting things other ponies/people solve the problem. I'm not ranting or hating on Celestia, it's just that it seemed a bit unlike her to let someone like Sunset antagonize her students. What I'm looking for is a possible and logical theory or explanation for this out-of-character moment. I apologize if I'm getting too off-topic.

  10. In response to Hasbro's announcement that MLP FiM will continue for at least five more years, while the task of maintaining the quality of the show seems difficult or daunting, I feel somewhat optimistic because I believe that what will set FiM apart from the slow and painful deaths of shows whose names shall remain anonymous-*cough*Spongebob*cough*Familyguy*cough cough*- is the amount of dedication and enjoyment that is put into the show. So as long as the show's staff keeps putting in the same commitment and passion that they've been for the previous years, I have know they've got both, I know that MLP will manage to stay afloat and maintain its charm and zeal. Now getting to the topic at hand, I'm excited and curious as to what events will transpire in the show's future. The one aspect FiM is known and admired for is how it's a cartoon that actually changes in term of characters and the story itself. The question is what will change in the years to come? What occurence will take place? What new characters might be introduced? What will happen that may change everything that we know so far and the course of the entire story? (....Too much enthusiasm?) Now to everyone with a curious and imaginative mind, would you kindly use those noggins of yours and discuss the topic at hand. (Or hoof.)
  11. Well take a seat my friend, and let me tell you about a little something called "the fandom".
  12. My thoughts so far: 1. I agree with the fact that the music sounds like soulless pop. I hope the trailer doesn't complete reflect the final product, because I believe Daniel Ingram could do better than this. While I do think the battle of the bands idea sounds interesting, I hope that they put a twist on said cliche like they did with some of the high school and teen sitcom cliches. 2. I notice that Vinyl Scratch has been featured quite a bit in the material concerning Rainbow Rocks, being on the cover of the book, and it might be just me but a slight, but significant amount of focus seemed to be on her. I'm worried about her ascending background pony status because it might be seen as-dare I say it- pandering. 3. I'm also worried about the lack of Sunset Shimmer in the trailer. It would be disappointing if Sunset didn't appear or was show or mentioned very little because how could any of the characters just ignore for her previous actions. Plus, I think she has some potential to be an interesting reformed-villain type character. (While I'm on the topic of characterization, how's about the writer give Flash Sentry a an actual personality.) To sum up, I'm excited to see the sequel because I really wanted the human universe to be expanded a little more, but a little voice in my head is nagging me to be cautious and not to get my hopes up too high. Either way I'm definitely watching this. Wait, when did they say Rainbow Rocks would be released? Trailer: Fall 2014 ....NOOOOOOOOOOOO-etc.
  13. I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but I believe that opening the box will release an energy or entity known as "Rainbow Power" that gives the Mane Six new forms and powers that will probably serve the same functions as the elements, to defeat any evil or harmful enemies. The proof is right here:

  16. And only by using all of the keys to open the box will they be able to achieve SUPER SAI-I mean-RAINBOW POWER!!!

because they're both full of inky quills.

  18. I think the designs are kind of cool. I wouldn't say they're "girly" so much as "flashy". Anywho, I soooo called this. If my theory turn out to be correct, I predicted that the box wouldn't just give them a new magical artifact, so my next guess was that it would give them a power-up/super form, or as I called it at the time, "going super saiyan." But it's too early to assume, only time will tell. Plus, I'm pretty sure that this new form won't be permanent. I mean Hasbro wouldn't pull that move on us... Right? 8I
  19. Idea 1: A Twilight-centered episode where she and the Mane Six encounter an evil overlord version of Twilight from an alternate universe where she rules Equestria and punishes any creature that she believes doesn't uphold what she considers to be her values of "friendship". Then the Mane Six either try to free the alternate Equestria from evil Twilight's rule, or more realistically, try to escape back to their own world. Either way, Twilight learns an important lesson about what it means to be a ruler, to not abuse her power, and that while everyone isn't perfect, it's there imperfections that make them who they are. Idea 2: More straight to the point, I'd like to see an episode where the Mane Six encounter their genderbent/colt counterparts... XD

  21. I know that the ending of the movie seemed to resolve the whole conflict, and that it was just produced for the dolls (and the human art courtesy of the fandom) but.... Oooooooh, I just can't help but want more. I thought Equestria Girls was cool and interesting. Twilight exploring the human world, seeing alternate counterparts of the Main Six and the other characters, and yes, Sunset does seem to have the potential to act as a reformed antagonist into a protagonist. I just think it would be a shame to not expand on this alternate dimension. So my idea is that the writers expand on the story using THE COMICS! I mean, that's practically what they're used for, expanding the MLP universe. That way, we would get that sequel and continuation we were looking for, without it actually affecting the main story. That's just my idea. (P.S. Who knows? Maybe the comic book writers can give Flash a PERSONALITY. )
