    Personally, I think having the portal open is just setting up for any plots they may have in Equestria Academy, as Sunset will now be writing "friendship letters" to Twilight. So leaving the portal open may allow them to call on Sunset for some aid during a finale, or allow Sunset to get help in EA.

    Human beings are inherently violent, and even more so in social groups. Without the might of a state to protect you (ie the threat of violence is often what keeps the more violent criminals in line) most social movements and rights would be impossible. Without the state in a position to support the more emotionally connected peoples, the criminals would (and have, see libera for an example) overrun the more emotionally intouch populace, and do with them what they want. Our world is inherently violent, and to try to repress that is just going to create mass issues in the zeitgiest of your populace. So while I may not stand for a nanny state, there is always going to be a need for protection as the world at large is out to get you. Also, outside of the show I do not really enjoy the music from FiM.

It seems that the CIA could finally focuss the epicentre of the high mass of power that was generated on the night of XXXXXXXXXX, everything seems to point at certain High School in the district of Canterlot. According to Intel compiled by one of our satellites that night focuss some sort of mass power being hold by 7 individuals, young teenage girls alike. Sounds like of some sort of fairy tail, but there is something going on there. In other news, the Federation keeps growing and growing. Absorbing most of South America countries and the Caribean. General Chrysalis is spreading her power and dominance all over the continent and representing a serious threat for the United States. Homeland Security will take an eye on her movements, on the meantime I will go to that school...time for them to have a new school partner.." ^why isn't this EqG2....

    I watched it via camrip today, and compared to the teenage 6 movies of my childhood, it doesn't stack up at all. But compared to the original EqG, it is a vast improvement. Everything felt alot tighter, we got a bunch more fan pandering and Sunset had some actual development. Now, I would not say the movie is anywhere near perfection as it still had issues dealing with rather well worn tropes, and there were several plot inconsistencies by the mid way point. But as a movie for children, against more renown films like Frozen, it gets a solid 7.5/10. The Dazzlings music was better than that of the rainbooms in my opinion (as the Rainbooms music sounded rather generic disney radio/kidz boop) and it was a nice change in the musical style of the franchise. The ending was again just WMD'd, but the atleast added some spice into it by finally gaining a 7th ranger. Overall, the parts I enjoyed most were sunset's improvements and personal arc, and the Dazzlings singing. Everything else felt solid, but lacked charm and pizzazz, and thusly felt kinda mediocre. I think the best way to sum up my feelings about the movie is this: It is a PB&J sandwich made by a gourmet chef. It is well done, expertly crafted and certainly tasty. But at the end of the day, it is still just a fooqin PB&J. So compared to other better sandwiches (ex a Philly cheese steak) it will loose the competition any day of the week in any year, but compared to the smashed up older sibling made pb&j we got before, it is a ton better.

    Incoming redemption arc via EQG3. either that, or the recurring villains for EA. >tfw someone beat me to a taco tuesday joke, now I have to just go to soul food wednesday at the Defac (and no one seems to get that Taco Tuesday started as a military thing, because DEFAC's serve tacos on tuesday in Iraq and Afghanistan)
