Do remember, we don't actually know how much Threadripper will cost. It is rumored that the 16 core model will be $849. If true, that would undercut by 50%, which is insane.
It sounds really good, but I think $949-$999 sounds a bit more realistic to me. I think the $849 will be more closer to what the 14 core model will be.
