Poor Spike can't catch a break. However, compared to the usual quality of his episodes, my first thought is that this is actually one of his better ones, though that's not saying it's particularly good or anything.

  Also helps his actions in the episode actually held plenty of justifications even if he did let his greed get the better of him. I'm more impressed by Cadance and we get to actually see the princesses doing some government work as we expect them to be doing as leaders of Equestria. Again, this is my first thoughts.
