  4. Hm, that's an interesting wild theory. Though I think you're overlooking two things that could explain how Discord was aware of the Mane 6 before his encounter with them. First, Discord revealed that he is still aware of what goes on around him when turned to stone (Keep Calm and Flutter On). He could have heard someponies discussing the Mane 6 while they walked through the sculpture garden or he may have been able to extend his awareness while still turned to stone. Second, Discord had plenty of time to learn about the Mane 6 after he was released. Celestia needed to find out that Discord was free and send for the Mane 6 who needed time to travel to Canterlot. The time to travel to Canterlot has been a bit fluid, but I think it's fair to say that it takes somewhere between a day and a couple hours. With that much time Discord could have caught up on current events and probably would have tried to find out where the Elements of Harmony were since they were what turned him to stone. The propsed link between Discord and the other villains is also fairly weak. Sombra and Chrysalis are tyrants. They seem to work through control and organization, the last things that Discord has any interest in. He certainly could have created them on a whim, but they could just as easily have their own origins. When it comes to Pinkie Pie, I think more along the lines of a Greater Chaos theory: Chaos is a power source from which individuals can draw. Discord, as a spirit of chaos, has great access to this power and can use it to alter himself and the world around him fairly easily. Pinkie Pie has some innate ability to access Chaos at a lesser extent, allowing her to pull off all the crazy cartoony stunts she performs. So Pinkie Pie and Discord draw from the same source of power, but aren't directly related to each other. The changelings' ability to change forms could be a type of access to Chaos or it could have its own seperate source like other magic.
  5. Interesting question. As I recall in Winter Wrap-Up Spike was able to tell that Twilight was using magic to move the snow plow while Apple Jack couldn't tell. It could take some sort of practice, or perhaps dragons have a natural ability to see magic. Perhaps using magic without a visible aura as Rarity did in MMMystery is a skill like using magic without incantations in Harry Potter. It's doable but takes practice. Twilight also seemed to stealthily use magic at the Equestria Games.
  6. This was the only episode of the show I've ever watched. I chuckled a few times and enjoyed the parody of the brony fandom as well as general geek fandom. It didn't feel hateful, just a fun little poke at what seems so bizarre.
  7. I have this little habit of coming up with mini-marathons of the show. I pick a theme and watch a few episodes, usually 3, that tie in with the theme. I was curious if anyone else does this. Here are a few examples of themes I've thought of and the episodes to mini-marathon. Grand Galloping Gala: Ticket Master, Suited for Success, Best Night Ever Dragons: Dragonshy, Dragonquest, Secret of my Excess Ponies Going Crazy: Lesson Zero, Party of One, Simple Ways I'll also occasionally do character mini-marathons. Like if I'm in a Rarity mood I'll watch Sweet and Elite, Suited for Success, and Green Isn't Your Color. Or if I'm feeling in the mood for Applejack I might watch Applebuck Season, The Last Round Up, and Apple Family Reunion.
  8. Rarity used to be my least favorite of the Mane Six but she has fought her way up a great deal. I'm pretty sure Pinkie Pie will always be my favorite, but Rarity might just snatch the 2nd spot away from Twilight Sparkle. It helps that I put Suited for Success on almost every time I'm working on costumes. Art of the Dress rocks!
  9. I like it. It's growing with the show but still keeping the same feel as the original intro.
  10. Here's my own personal top 10: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Hayate the Combat Butler, Clannad, Magic Knight Rayearth, Baccano!, Chobits, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Spice and Wolf, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
  11. Oh cool, @Flipturn Thanks for the heads up. I'm still new at this.
  12. I just watched Ticket Master again and noticed something amusing. Twilight ends up unable to choose a friend to take to the Grand Galloping Gala so she sends the tickets back. In Rainbow Falls, when Rainbow Dash tries to avoid choosing between her friends from Ponyville and the Wonderbolts and fakes injury to avoid choosing, Twilight tells her that choosing neither team isn't making a decision at all. Anyone else pick up on this?
