Hurting yourself is just going to hurt both you and her more. What if you get hurt terribly? What then? It's going to be hard, but you're just going to have to push through whatever happened.

i fear he either means 2 things with the goodbye on here. the first thing being that he's leaving because of a... specific... event. the other being him saying goodbye to said event instead.
