  1. A tan/sand color. I didn't pick it since it was there when I moved in. It's pretty neutral, so I don't mind it. Its MUCH better than my old bedroom. When I lived at my parents house it was a light greenish/mint, kind of like Lyra. I picked it when I was almost 6. Bad age to pick paint colors. I ended up hating it most of my time there. I remember wanting a chartreuse lime greenish color even. Luckily my dad didn't let me go with that.
  2. Yes, that's the guy who made the patches I use. NFS III runs perfect in 16:9 HD, High Stakes works good too, but only in 4:3 resolutions. It also needs some other patch for cheats to work. I got both games working with the patch from the original discs.
  3. My favorite pre-2000 game is Need for Speed III from 1998. It's still a game I play at least once every couple weeks. I have it running with a patch on windows 10. It's full HD now and I've added a lot of custom cars. I also have a tool to edit cars, so now the cops drive like insane terminators. Here's a screenshot from a minute ago. (also has an Easter egg I put a while ago) Even today It doesn't look horrible, and gameplay is still really fun. When this came out the graphics were extremely impressive. They were even better than most arcade racing games at the time. My family's computer didn't have the best frame rate though and the graphics card had a few odd glitches with it. We played this for hours though. I had that game too. It was good too. The physics were better but the cars looked worse IMO. The problem nowadays is that there is not an easy widescreen patch like there is for Need for speed III. The guy who made it has been too busy.
  4. Luckily generally not really. I do have to have chocolate around though. To keep it in check I usually get semi sweet mini chocolate chips. It's the best value and I eat less since they're so small. I also put some in coffee.
  5. Generally not impressed so far. So far I've seen the movie and a little of TYT and MYM. I thought the movie was OK, not spectacular or anything, but better than I was expecting. As for both series, so far I'm not really digging either of them. I don't like the animation of TYT, Also, from what I've seen so far there is WAY too many scenes of stuff falling all over/piling up. I don't know what's up with that. From what I've seen of MYM, I haven't been impressed so far either. I think part of it is the characters. I find them just kinda "meh." Izzy is my favorite out of them, but in the series her voice actress, she can sometimes sound kinda creepy randomly. Overall, to me the new cast just seems more childish in how they act. The Mane 6 of G4 to me seemed to range from late teens to mid 20's. Very similar to my impression of the Scooby Doo cast (I'm talking the original series- In stuff like Zombie Island they're like mid 20's to 30's). The mane 6 being post high school, and of working age, was something I noticed after the first couple episodes and made me think the show could be interesting- and it was. This actually was probably the biggest thing in why I stayed watching. I was 25 when I first found out about G4 MLP. If they were in High School (EQG ) or CMC age, I wouldn't have been interested. I was also surprised by how well the animation was done with Flash- which is something I've used in school for such, and really liked working with. I don't really care for how the G5 ponies look in the CGI or the new animation style, so that takes points away too. In general though, I think both series are better than Pony Life, The only good I saw out of that is that most of the cast still got to be working together on "something"
  6. A large one cracking twigs and sniffing your head through your tent at 4 in the morning, leaving evidence of drool on the tent for you to find in the morning too... (Yes, true story. What was it? I don't know and don't think I want to either.)
  7. I like spiders. In my house, I catch them and put them outside because I have a cat. I think they're cool especially close up. I really like jumping spiders. They're harmless and very curious. This is one of the best pictures I've taken of a spider close up. A lady brought it to my work because she was worried about her toddler kids. I took it home to take some pictures of it and then let it go. It only cooperated with me because it was dragging around that huge egg sack.
  8. I wouldn't say I'm crazy with plushies as I only have the mane 6 from 4DE like @TomDaBombMLP also + Trixie. I originally only got Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack, but since they were so cute and well, made I ended up getting all 6 over a couple years. I just got Trixie about a week or two ago. I just have Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash out in my house at the moment. Eventually I would like to find a good one of Luna and Chrysalis, and that's it.
  9. Finally got the Changling Mobile yesterday- waiting since December.

Of COURSE someone crashes it over when leaving (Had it properly legally parked) and just picks it up and leaves AT CHURCH today.:smolder: Just very minor BUT STILL.

  10. Lantern fire? . . . Hopefully someone gets what I'm talking about.
  11. "Don't you get it? You see the hat? I- am Mrs. Nesbit!" :lostit:

    2. Cirrus.

      Cirrus.

Exactly! That's what I thought of when I was watching the ep where Rarity dresses up Rainbow Dash to distract Zephyr the "royal guard." I love how he calls RD "Rainbows" a lot too.

  12. Pretty much just bad windy/ominous thunderstorms. A couple years ago a transformer exploded TWICE across the street in a neighbors yard. It was weird because there was a loud eerie 60hz buzz/hum emanating from what seemed like everywhere in between the explosions. I think it's from all the wiring in the lines/houses resonating. I was out on my covered front porch when it was happening. I've heard the buzz/hum noise in my house before sometimes when the power's gone out in the past.
  13. News Flash! This just in from Hasbro... Here's your jellybeans, just in time for the Easter season! Imagine if they did it in G4... Wait I did it for you!!! Seriously though, For whatever reason the jellybean mouth crap does REALLY IRK me for whatever reason. It just oozes cheapness. TBH though, couldn't stop laughing after I slapped it on Rainbow here!
  14. I saw something that this was up on YouTube and watched like a minute. NOT impressed with the animation AT ALL. From what I've seen so far, things seem less spazzed out than Pony Life. I don't know though, I still don't really care all that much about these characters. I did watch the movie too already. Izzy is the only one I do kind of like, design (3D design) and personality wise. She's kind of like a less crazy Pinkie. I'll probably watch more when I have time, to better see what I think of the writing, but I definitely consider that animation style lazy and unappealing to my taste. Edit: I watched three of them- didn't realize they were so short. I still think it's just kind of meh so far. Then, since I was on the Hasbro YouTube, I clicked on a G4 clip and the animation was DEFINITELY better in G4. For the "Intended age" demographic, I'd say it's OK, WAY better than Pony Life. In terms of the MLP fandom, I'm pretty sure I'm on the older side of average anyways at 33. There's a lot going on in my life at this point competing for my time. G4 specifically caught my attention due to the animation being Flash (something I've done some animating in), and because a lot of the cast/crew were involved in cartoons I liked and grew up with. Both factors really are just not there for me with G5, and the characters themselves just aren't as likable to me so far. Also, does anyone know if this "shorts" format is what Hasbro is doing for G5, or are they planning to do an actual normal type/length series or something?
  15. Twitter is trash basically, second to TicTok. I started an account years ago to follow some of the VA's and crew working on MLP. I rarely go on there for anything now.
  16. I just finished an MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) course last weekend and just have to submit some stuff online to have the motorcycle endorsement put on my license. I started out riding my uncles Honda Trail 70 at my family's cottage when I was like 12. It was pretty beat up, not wasn't as nice as this. It was still pretty fun though. I've also ridden a dirt bikes and quads since then too. In my early 20's I was considering getting a bike, but decided on a Camaro instead, due to safety and still living at home. I wouldn't have been able to keep a bike there. Since then, I've bought a house, and a neighbor was getting rid of an 80's Honda motorcycle that I liked the look of. that was around 2017. It doesn't run, but I have the key and some extra engine parts. I don't know what it is though. I don't have a title for it, and have been busy with other stuff, so It's basically been yard art. I'm not going to seriously tear into it unless I can get a title for sure. If you know what it is, please let me know. I have a deposit on a Honda Grom that should be in by mid April. It's kind of a "Pony sized" motorcycle. It gets great gas mileage, is cheap and easy to work on, and is the size of the trail 70 I used to ride, which are all big pluses. I already got a small hitch platform thing for it that hangs off the back of my suv for only like $170. If I had the money, I would buy a Harley Davidson 48. Maybe someday.
  17. Toy cars are something I've always liked. I still have quite a few hot wheels/matchbox cars in a box somewhere. Now I'll occasionally still get 1/18 scale die cast cars once every few years. Those are more for decoration though. I did buy some Spyro stuff when the remastered game came out a couple years ago. One figure I have I guess could be considered a toy, but most are just decorations. This one is definitely NOT a toy.
  18. Just got a 4DE Trixie. Her hat's still a little crunched from shipping. I really want to put it on my cat for some reason. Maybe the cape too.
  19. Probably my 4DE Plushies. I got the mane 6 between 2018-2019 for about $30 each. I guess my most valuable MLP thing that I have now though is my Rarity one! This is what they're selling for now on eBay:
  20. I do to some degree on my phone. I change the lock screen often, but it's kind of pony themed currently I guess? My app screen background is a kind of a subtle Discord and has been for years. Only rarely I might put some kind of pony related background for my computer desktop.
  21. I edited the original post a little, as I think it came across as Rainbow Dash not liking her parents when I meant their behavior. I do think she loves them very much, but probably really thought they'd be crushed or something if she told them to tone it down years ago. Now thinking about her parents has made me think more about Rainbow Dash's house also. From the beginning of the show, I've always wondered WHY SHE LIVES IN A CLOUD HOUSE IN PONYVILLE?!?! There are other pegasi that I would assume live there besides Fluttershy and Derpy, but you never see any other low cloud houses. Now I find it kind of hilarious! Here's why: It's slightly outside of the town and off the ground, and the only other pegasus that Rainbow Dash regularly associates with is Fluttershy, who'd I'd pretty much guarantee knows her parents already. I think it's so if her parents do visit, they won't go obnoxiously/embarrassingly rampaging through town! Also less chance of anyone coming over while her parents are visiting due to her house being in the air anyways with the majority of ponies in Ponyville being earthbound. Earth Ponies and Unicorns need a spell to be able to walk in there as we've seen in a lot of episodes. I used to think it was just obnoxious and showy- fitting to her personality of course, but to me it makes more sense now! Now as for how Rainbow Dash has/paid for the house, your guess is as good as mine.
  22. I've been looking back on some episodes I haven't seen in years- and I've really changed my view on the "Griffon the Brush-Off" Episode. I used to think that Gilda was just a jerk character with a cool design, but thinking about her and the episode now, it's actually quite sad. Rainbow Dash was probably really the first person who ever showed Gilda any real kindness. After seeing Gilda again in "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone" and how things actually are where she lives, I can't help but think that the poor thing came to the flight camp just expecting more indifference, rudeness, and possibly bullying. That's what actually happened until Rainbow Dash drove the bullies off and befriended her. Well obviously Gilda went back home after camp, and in order to get by there she had to develop a tough, rude shell like everyone else. It seems to be everyone for themselves over there. I'm guessing her visit to Ponyville in the season 1 episode is like 8 years after they met in flight camp. I think she started out kind of like Thorax was in comparison to the rest of the hive. He stayed good and just tried to blend in, but Gilda ended up actually becoming nasty for the most part like the rest of the Griffons. Now In terms of Gilda being rude/mean to Pinkie, you have to think of her actions relative to the then still crappy society in Griffonstone. They're NOT good, but she's just reacting in the way she would back in Griffonstone. Gilda traveled pretty far to see who seems to be her only friend. I think she considered Pinkie kind of like competition and just wanted to drive her off as she would to someone in a similar situation in Griffonstone. Spending time with someone who isn't a jerk is probably very rare/important to Gilda and she saw Pinkie as the jerk trying to take that away. Pinkie just doesn't know what to make of such rudeness. She just keeps trying to join in and win her over with good intentions, but there isn't such a thing in Griffonstone, so Gilda interprets it as more persistent/aggressive competition and retaliates with more rudeness in return. When Gilda storms off from the party, she's mad and frustrated, but probably also SAD but not showing it. Due to her F'd up home life/society she doesn't know how to deal with the situation and leaves. In the later Griffonstone episode, Gilda does get sad remembering when her and Dash first met and their time at the flight school/camp before she helps rescue her with Pinkie.
  23. Not like this though......(Why does this even exist ?) Now of course I'm talking about Rainbow Dash and her character in terms of psychology. Over the years I've come to appreciate that episodes have touched on various things which helped fill in the blanks and show Rainbow Dash to be a much more complex character than just a loudmouth flashy athletic type. We ended up seeing her past, way back to her first days, to it being confirmed that she ends up (at least) living with Applejack sometime probably in her early-mid 40's would be my guess (based on Pinkie having a young child yet herself looking aged). Anyway we find out that she starts out with obsessively admiring parents in a funny, but unhealthy way if you look at it realistically. So probably for like 5 years she has this excessive positivity and obsessive attention as her normal reality- and doesn't know anything else. Then comes flight school and she has her first experience with bullying, which given how it's been with her parents, probably burned in a deeper anxiety/fear of being ridiculed/embarrassed than normal. To complicate things, she actually for sure was above average with her flying abilities as seen with her first "impossible" sonic rainboom. The rainboom I think really boosts her confidence/ego, while the negative experience of being bullied leads her to befriend and protect Fluttershy, and poor Gilda who probably is there already fully expecting just to be bullied or ignored like she has always been. Hence, The start of Rainbow Dash's Loyalty trait too I guess. We also find out that she has some kind of learning difficulty like ADHD or something similar, which she covers up in school by being a "class clown" type as mentioned in "Testing 1.2.3..." Her impulsivity and short attention span was kind of a clue before this episode also. Moving Into adolescence/teenage years I think Rainbow Dash really realizes that her parents behavior isn't normal. She's embarrassed by and and develops disdain towards their obnoxiousness for making her look like a moron by association in public, which isn't good for her ego and image. I think getting some distance from them was a MAJOR factor in her choice to move to Ponyville. Fluttershy being there probably made the choice easier also. She also keeps her parents completely in the dark that she actually made the Wonderbolts too, which is a pretty major thing, considering the team is like the Blue Angels! She did say to Scootaloo, " I love them very much, and we're really close, but there's a reason I didn't tell them I'm a Wonderbolt." She's also shown that she doesn't like being alone, which is why I think she ends up moving in with Applejack. I see them being more as roommates, kind of like a Golden Girls situation. I'd guess she was probably retired from active performing by the time of the final episode. Leading up to it, she probably had some relationships throughout the years, but nothing that worked out ultimately. I like her for sure more now than I did when I first started watching the show. At first I found her kind of annoying and off-putting. Has your opinion of her changed throughout the years and/or have you noticed anything else in the show regarding her?
