  1. A recent poll on EQD made me think about this again. Let me say first that I have no problem with Lyra and Bonbon and their confirmed relationship in the show. Personally I just don't see AJ and Rainbow in a relationship together in that way though. Looking at the canon last episode, I do think that those working on it did intend for it to be heavily implied. my OPINION on the situation: THE MAIN reason why I DO see them ending up living together is Rainbow Dash. One the main weaknesses/fears I see of hers is of being alone/ostracized- as seen in various episodes. She's also big-headed and more of a "free-bird" type. She also seems like she would be difficulty with a long term relationship with in general and the overall "tied-down" aspect of a serious one. She also has been shown to "flee" situations sometimes when things go south (so much for loyalty). Because of this I would guess that she had a couple failed relationships over the years leading up to the scene in the finale. This, coupled with them appearing to be in their early 40's at least by the finale, my guess would be that Rainbow Dash would be retired (well at least from performing regularly) from the Wonderbolts with her glory days behind her at that point. So basically I see being 40ish + no relationship + Wonderbolts over = bad (bordering nightmare) situation for Rainbow Dash mentally. Applejack on the other hand, I just think that she just never had much of a priority or interest in finding a relationship and was perfectly fine and content with just keeping herself busy. What I picture is one day Rainbow Dash coming home to her empty cloud house after being retired from the Wonderbolts for a bit and just being like, "Yeah, this shit ain't working." Over the years I would imagine that she probably had a few failed relationships she probably isn't super interested in trying again at this point either. She decides to see if Applejack wouldn't mind her moving in and helping around the place. I see Applejack being on board with the idea, with her and Big Mac being older and more worn at this point from a couple decades labor on the farm. I see them being more as room mates, kind of like a Golden Girls situation. (RIP Betty White) A couple of things on the matter I find funny: I also see them as being aware of possible speculation/gossip by others in the town regarding the nature of their arrangement, and having fun with it. I could TOTALLY see Rainbow Dash or Applejack saying, "Are you coming sweetie?" or something like that as they were getting ready to leave a store or something, just to mess with people! I also remember seeing Ashleigh Ball supporting it which I found amusing for obvious reasons. What I do think though, is that no matter what the nature of their arrangement living on the Apples' farm, they are/will be indistinguishable from an actual bickering old couple!
  2. Happy belated Birthday!

There, I fixed your cake with my 2 second MS Paint skills!^_^

Hope it was good, it sure looks yummy!

  3. Something is starting today Where did he go why you want it to be? Well you know November has come When it's gone away
  4. My 4DE Fluttershy plush. I don't know why, but I just really like it for some reason. A close second would be this "wall art" (?) or whatever that I made out of some collectable chrome decals I found on eBay one day.
  5. The first thing I got was a Vinyl Scratch figure thingy where she's spinning on a record.
  6. I started watching the show at the end of 2013 and started buying some MLP stuff sometime in 2014. I ended up getting all the the mane6 4DE ponies too a few years ago! I got them over about a year. I'm so glad I did too because they're so adorable! I'm also glad that I got them WHEN I did, because I only paid between $25 and $45 each + shipping at the time. Have you seen the prices for some of them lately?!?!
  7. Just decoration. I only have a couple things out at any given time and switch things out once in a while. I keep most of it in a big drawer. Having it all out at once would be a bit much- even though I don't have anywhere near the massive collections some of you guys do.
  8. Kind of a grim topic... I would have to go with drowning. I've had some experiences with this. In high school, I got through all my swim testing very early in the semester, so I would just swim lengths underwater holding my breath. when I was running out of air I would feel "buzzy" in my legs and arms and start getting tunnel vision after about 4 laps. Because of this I would always tell the teacher I was doing these laps beforehand. Another time at my family's cottage I was on a neighbors big raft island thing, and the wind blew my smaller innertube raft away in the water. Like an idiot I decided to swim after it. I realized that the water was deeper than my height pretty quickly and started getting tired. The wind kept blowing the raft and I kept swimming and getting more and more exhausted. Then I suddenly got this weird calm feeling that I should just stop swimming. I then got a strong NOPE feeling, along with a rush of adrenaline and swam harder and caught up to the raft and it took over two minutes to catch my breath. Looking back at the shore, I couldn't believe how far I swam. I think drowning would be the better of the two options, but I would try to hold my breath as long as possible, as inhaling water wouldn't be good. The problem with the falling option that most people forget to consider is that you'll reach a terminal velocity. The very bad thing is that the speed your nerves transmit signals is at least 100mph faster than your final falling speed will be. So for at least a split second, your brain will be inundated with unimaginably agonizing horrific pain.
  9. When I lived in my parents' house, I used to go in my bedroom window or another front window that the lock was broken on. At my house I was able to do something with one of my glass patio doors and get it barely open enough to fit through without messing it up. Otherwise I would've had to drive 20 minutes to my parents' to get my spare key.
  10. Haha, the last text I sent was this: 🕷🌚 (My sister texted me something about a spooky movie beforehand)
  11. I still remember the first time seeing "the internet" and learning what it was in like 2nd or third grade in like 1996 or 1997. Our class sat down around a computer on a cart desk outside the librarians office and she explained how the internet worked and what it was. I still remember the computer and the external modem. She explained it all very well. I really didn't use the internet until middle school though. We got a computer at home when I was 10, but didn't get internet until about 2001 when I was 12-13. It was AOL dial-up with a 56K modem. I really didn't do a whole lot online at first since the internet wasn't anywhere near like it is today. It was more of a not really needed novelty. There was no YouTube or social media. AIM (AOL instant messenger) was fun once in a while but was basically the equivalent to texting before smartphones. I was far more interested in video games at the time on the computer. I mainly used it for school and would look up cheat codes for games. I know I also used Kazaa, (which was like Napster) for downloading some music too, which is where I began to see the slowness of dial-up. I remember my dad thought he was really doing a good job with the parental control options in AOL, but all I had to do was open up internet explorer and it overrode everything. I really didn't use internet for NSFW stuff. When I used the computer it was mainly for school or something with video games. The time limit control was annoying though, and I couldn't get around that. It would just shut off. In a few years we got DSL and then I got a router and was able to get WiFi to my room computer. Then finally normal cable internet in the 2010's I think the age I was was a good age to start using internet, especially considering the age of the internet at the time. There really wasn't much interesting stuff for kids at that time anyways. I wouldn't say I'm addicted. If I didn't have internet for a few days, I would have PLENTY of other things to do instead. There are definitely some things I've seen on the internet that I would've rather not, BUT I'm against censorship. I AM all for TOGGLE-ABLE safesearch/filters though- but by your choice. Something funny I remember that's internet related is a few times that I tried to go on the internet when my mom was on the phone. The computer modem would try to start dialing and you could hear it and my mom's phone call conversation at the same time, and she would hear the modem also. She would yell, "I'm on the phone!" and you would hear it through the modem speaker.

I am doing pretty decent myself actually, thank you. :) Glad you seem to be doing goods. :D Things have been relatively simple but the weather has been oh so amazing.

  13. Overall, the movie was better than I was expecting. It was a pretty fun and light movie. It was pretty predictable, but entertaining still. The pacing was a little fast, but the first MLP movie had that issue also. I really found it amusing that Ken Jeong is Sprout. I still always think of him as crazy Mr. Chow from The Hangover. I also think it's great that he's also an actual doctor, and is from Michigan too. That made the Offspring-esque angry mob song even more amusing. For sure I definitely was NOT expecting a song like that in the movie at all! The song Self Esteem that it's heavily based on came out when I was like 6. As for the 3D, it turned out nicer than I was expecting overall. By far I think Izzy looks and moves the best. A lot of the other characters' eyes are too far apart and something with the jawline just isn't right. I can't really explain it exactly. There is also quite a few times that movement looked off, which is still common in a lot of 3D stuff still sadly. I REALLY didn't like the abominable rabbits for some reason. They're disturbing, not cute. If poor Fluttershy had to see Angel in such a sorry state... Opposite the rabbits' "widening" problem in G5, I'm hoping that the G5 world isn't shrunken down in scope/scale, and that the new cast isn't reduced in age/mentality. G4 kept a nice balance, hopefully they keep it going in this iteration. G4 did pretty darn good for being a "kids show." I really hope this generation didn't start at the top of the hill, getting "dumbed down" as time goes on. Overall it looks like G5 has a good foundation to start with, and I'm hoping they can keep it interesting and entertaining. A side note that I can't get over is that Argyle's VA was in Breaking Bad's prequel "Better call Saul" (John De Lancie - Discord- was in Breaking Bad) In his final scene there he was "destroying" a lantern... That's all I'll say about that... And in his very first scene in the MLP movie he was making a new lantern. My inner Discord thinks this may be more than a grim coincidence. His name in the credits is with a lantern too.
  14. That's Zephyrina to you. She is royal you know. That is really her full name!
  15. Hmmm...

Chuck's final scene on Better Call Saul ..."involving" a lantern...💀Screenshot_20210925-202239_YouTube-01.jpeg.48d57d6e07847e9703eda8dacf76c3a1.jpeg

    I'm terrible, I know:umad:

  16. No, I never had a problem with liking MLP. I grew up when Powerpuff Girls was on and had no problems with that either. My whole family would even watch it sometimes. I was 25 at the end of 2013 when I started watching. I saw the first 2 episodes and thought it was OK, but wasn't going to watch more. What I really had a problem wrapping my head around was the fandom/online stuff. I really wasn't sure about it at first. I thought it could just be a huge stupid trolling effort to ironically overhype the show or something for the LOL's. I did watch more of the show and more fan stuff and of course the show and fandom is great!
  17. Trying to listen to music with from only one earbud would make me nuts pretty quick.
  18. I would say Rainbow Dash Level. I have quite a few MLP figures and stuff I've gotten over the years, but only have my 4DE Fluttershy and like one other thing out at a time. I don't go out advertising it though. I don't have a problem with liking it, I just don't want the aggravation of dealing with those who might have a problem with it.
  19. I definitely agree with this, I just don't, and never really have seen why some are so adamant on painting themselves into a box? I just thinks it leads to aggravation/conflict due to varied definitions and skewed/incorrect interpretations of said labels. Especially by people who aren't informed or part of that group. I just like what I like, and some things may align with some labels. I'm a fan of MLP but won't adopt "Brony" because I think it sounds obnoxious and don't subscribe to the stereotypes and having to explain what it actually is vs those stereotypes when talking to someone. I'm not looking for extra work/aggravation from dealing with incorrect assumptions. For me, it's more about animation in regards to both "Furry" and "Brony". Being able to "bring to life" and share something that only exists in your head using technology. I was a 90's kid and grew up watching MANY cartoons with anthropomorphized animal characters. I just find them as a more amusing and interesting subject to animate and be animated. I love when such characters emote in ways that animals do combined with normal human expressions, such as ears down, or slinking away. Stuff like that. I'd say that overall I definitely fall more under Brony more than Furry. My first time ever hearing about Furries was from the CSI episode. I think I was in 9th or 10th grade in High School when it aired and was just like WTF?!?!? I've never been one for costumes or mascots either. When I was little I would always try to see through the eye of the easter bunny costume to see who was inside. As for fursuits- I can appreciate the craftsmanship involved with them, but I don't like the "dead stare" thing that's common with them. It's just uncanny/off-putting to me. I personally have no interest in that aspect of the fandom. I don't have any problem with people who do either though. I went to a Brony group meetup to see the movie and we all went out to eat afterwords. I sat across from a couple and the guy was a furry and asked if I was. We talked about it and I learned a lot about it. I had the wrong idea initially about furries and had a lot in common actually. I don't have a fursona nor any interest in making one. I mainly just like animation and some furry artwork. I also tend to favor quadruped animals like the ponies too. As for the Brony aspect, I would say that I'm more of a fan of the show. The BIGGEST things that made me come back after seeing the first two episodes and watch more of the show after a couple weeks was seeing some of the fan stuff and realizing that the Mane 6 were OLDER in there late teens through mid 20's. I thought that would be fun and interesting, and it was! I love the character designs and the setting. I was particularly impressed with how well the show was done in Flash- especially because I had done some animating using it. The voice acting is great, and the show is genuinely entertaining and not brain melting and stupid. I really like the behind the scenes stuff and how the staff and others involved were very open on social media. If I was working in animation, being in a project like MLP is something I would have loved. Great character design, Not brain melting, and a fairly broad and large audience. I will say that MLP is one of my all time favorite shows. I do have some figures, key chains, etc. Much more than other shows. Of the fandom itself, my favorite things are the fan art and fan animations. I watch the show for entertainment but see it for what it is. I am sad that it was stuck in a "TV Y" fish bowl, and think more could have been done with it if it wasn't. I do think all involved did a great job with what they had to work with though. I never got worked up over things that seemed to really blow up in the fandom. I was just more like Starlight here. If it did get really stupid or crappy I just wouldn't have watched anymore and moved on... (Cough... Pony Life... Cough) I am sadly getting a sinking feeling that G5 is going to be about tweens and teens in the school scene. I'll give it a chance but I'm not getting good vibes seeing the stuff that's out there so far. At 33 now, that just doesn't sound interesting to me at all. I'm not going to watch just "because ponies, yay." If it is too childish or just plain sucks, I'll still be around here, but more for G4 related stuff. There were a number of specifics that G4 checked off for me that so far seem to be absent from G5.
  20. Of the ones hinted at in the show proper, I would say Applejack X Rainbow Dash. I just don't see it. From what we've seen from Rainbow Dash's history, she seems to hate being alone and also while being the element of loyalty, ironically has been shown to be very willing to "nope out" and skedaddle when something looks like it's going to be annoying or an inconvenience. () I'd bet she probably didn't have much luck with relationships. My guess is that sometime after her Wonderbolts career days, one day she probably came home to her empty cloud mansion and thought, "This isn't working." So she decided to move in and help out on the Apple farm. Zapapple pony just moved in with the other Apples. That's a more realistic explanation in my view. It has nothing to do with them both being mares either. I'm definately on board with the Lyra X Bon Bon ship. On a side note, I'm suprised how many people are against Zephyr X Rainbow Dash. I think it's hilarious and even moreso that Fluttershy's parents think It's mutual! It would clearly never work out, as they're both so into themselves. I like how he thinks she likes him but it couldn't be more of the opposite! I can just imagine how pissed people would've been if they were shown as a thing in the final episode. I would have been absolutely cracking up if the writers did that as a final troll!
  21. My favorite of the Mane 6 was, and always will be Fluttershy. I just think she's just so adorable! Her design, voice, and personality just go together perfectly. Then: Rarity- Her design is nice, but I think her voice acting is the best of the group, and HILARIOUS. Tabitha knocks it out of the park. I also like how the show calls out her accent as BS. ...Unless she was adopted... Applejack would be next. I like her down to earth and usually no nonsense personality. Twilight- Her design, personality, and voice go together well. Rainbow Dash. Her flashy design and rough voice fit perfectly with her personality. How she is just sometimes reminds me of a friend and a co-worker, who both have a habit of engaging in "one-upping" in conversation- a lot of times when it is conpletely unnecessary/inappropriate. I do love how you see some of her past and weaknesses throughout the series that help show how/why she ended up as she is. Pinkie Pie. I love Pinkie and her randomness, but her seemingly neverending sugar high and shrill voice can just be a bit much sometimes.
  22. Speaking of manual vs auto, having a manual actually saved my car. About a month ago I was going to work and I was on the on-ramp to get on the freeway (I-75). There was a moron in the minivan in front of me going 35 AND NOT SPEEDING UP! The minimum speed for the freeway is 55mph! Well, we were nearing the end of the on-ramp and a double trailer gravel hauler semi was coming up fast and someone was behind me, and the stupid van was making the semi try to slow down. The freeway is bridged over the road I was entering from and the on-ramp approached at an upward angle with a concrete wall alongside it, so there IS NO WAY to have seen the truck until it was almost on top of me at that slow speed. I had to make a split-second decision to either slam on my brakes or instantly drop to first gear and floor it to 7K RPM's. I probably would have stopped in time since my Camaro has good double piston brake calipers, but I for sure would have been rear-ended by the guy on the on-ramp behind me. If the guy behind me did hit me, he would have gotten a ticket. I wouldn't have because freeway traffic has right of way over entering merging traffic. I opted to go to first gear and floor it around the van that basically was cutting off that gravel hauler. I had test driven a Camaro with the V6 and automatic and it SUCKED. If mine WAS automatic, I wouldn't have been able to pull that move off and probably would have gotten rear ended by the semi If I'd floored it. In that case I would have gotten a ticket because freeway traffic has right of way over merging traffic. When doing quick decisions or acceleration, an automatic has to guess what the hell you want to do and there is a perceivable delay- VERY much so for the v6 Camaro automatic. The good thing is that I had put upgraded mufflers on my car that sound normal when driving normal, but sound insane when at such high RPM's, so hopefully the van idiot got the message. The only regret at that time passing him in a manual car is that I couldn't lay on the horn due to not having a free hand. I'm not one to road-rage, but the van moron really put me between a rock and a hard place. Moral of the story, if you're going to be going 35mph, STAY ON THE NORMAL ROADS- NOT The FREEWAY! The minimum speed here in the US for such roads is 55mph TO PREVENT situations like I was in! This is the on-ramp I was on. In my car, the top of that concrete wall is just above my eyeline. This picture was taken by a Google Maps van with a camera high up on a post above its roof (you can see it's shadow near the bottom right).
  23. I definitely will give it a chance. It FOR SURE looks more coherent and grounded than Pony Life. The only problem is that from what's out there, I'm getting vibes that the characters seem to be middle school to high school age- so somewhere in between the ages of the CMC and the Mane 6. I really got more into the G4 show proper after I realized the Mane 6 were post high school age (working age). I was like, "That's kinda different, this could actually end up being a fun and interesting show!" So if the G5 ponies are like Equestria Girls age, I probably won't be too interested, as I wasn't with that. Shows with characters mainly in that age group/school scene just don't interest me enough to spend my limited free time on. I'm by NO MEANS saying they're bad or crap, just not my cup of tea. To add more context to my opinions above, I started watching G4 after season 3 and was 25 then. I'm 33 now and work full time and own a house (which = more work) so I have less free time then I did when younger.
  24. I thought it was a very good interview also. I REALLY mainly became interested in MLP due to the behind the scenes stuff, and how open and accessible the staff were on social media. Like I mentioned, I've worked with Flash and know a lot about animation and the production process. I almost decided to persue it as a career, but didn't think that would be good long term as I think 2D is kind of dying off/cheapening. Anyways, by looking at the posts, maybe "peeved" was too "strong" a word? If I rephrase it, I just am more kinda sad that it seems like people think SHE herself is an error/mistake. People do goofy stuff behind the scenes for fun with no particular reason you know. Derpy just accidently made it into the finished scene with the rest of the crowd. BOTH goofy eyes AND a goofy mouth? Seems like more than just a coincidence to me. The guy in the interview worked for Top Draw, the studio that did more of the mundane time consuming animating. DHX (Studio B at the time) did the asset designing, layouts, and effects and also told Top Draw what they wanted. DHX would take Top Draw's work and then do anything else needed.
