well 2021 can even make the
spanishMonaco grand prix somewhat exciting, even if its the same nae on 1 at the end again...and a different podium too!Mercedes: A desaster race for the championship defenders, Hamilton generally had trouble getting good pace all weekend and in the end loses alot of points and even the lead. the 1 point for fastest lap is only a small make up. Bottas, as it's always Bottas, had no luck at all and in the end had to retire because - yes, no joke - the wheel got stuck on the car and is up to writing this line, still stuck on the car. another 0 points for him and with that ultimatively out of the championship fight.
Red Bull: Verstappen got it under control and deserved wins it. of course we can chat around if he won if Leclerc started from pole or Bottas not retiring, but that's motorsport. Perez did the best he could and got a solid 4th place, almost close to even got 3rd with a couple laps more maybe. that just barely helped even gaining the lead at the constructors.
McLaren: Lando did what he could and in the end gets rewarded with a podium, bringing the first podium for McLaren in Monaco since Button in 2011!! Ricciardo seems to still struggle and couldnt help getting more points for the team.
Aston Martin: Great race finally from Vettel with a 5th place earning his first points this year. Stroll with 8th also joins the points, causing the first double points position for the team this year. Good race for the team.
Alpine: Alpine struggled but Ocon made his best and managed to gain another 2 points, Alonso yet again with no points. Certaily not the dominator we remembered him before he left for 2 years.
Ferrari: Total desaster and dissapointment for Leclerc, getting finally pole on his home race and then can't even start it. Sainz for that made Fans cheer still with a great 2nd place and thus still gaining on McLaren, beeing even closer for 3rd now.
AlphaTauri: Gasly greatly getting more points for the team and - while not as hard as other races - even kept Hamilton behind. Tsunoda again a bad race. seems his best race was the first one where he got even ponts, since then hes more known for cursing and cutting corners.
Alfa Romeo: Räikkönen close behind on 11th with no points, but Giovinazzi - now for real - getting Alfas first point, no penaltys this time taking points away.
Haas: the biggest surprise Haas managed this weekend is that Masepin actually performed better most sessions this time, while Schumacher had troubles. in the end - apparently because problems on Mick's car - Masepin for the first time finishes ahead of him.
Williams: A rather quiet race, no points, both finished, best they could do here.
