  1. I have to agree with this, mostly because you can see there are some great concepts for the world and the characters, but when they are fleshed out they end up pretty bad. In addition it seems Lauren Faust makes decisions without always thinking of the ramifications behind it, TFH is also loaded with these scenarios. I'd say you were wrong. FIM during Faust = A girlier, child-like version of Dungeons of Dragons FIM during McCarthy = Mario with a deeper world and characters. I LOOOOOVE Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario's stories so I love what the series has become.
  2. It was cute and comfy, but there was very little substance. This coupled with the characters lacking charm and thus coming off as bland causes the story to quickly become a bore to read. Also, they act like elementary schoolers rather than high schoolers. There's a good story there, but it is clear the story wasn't thought out all too well, so the middle of the story is made up of mostly vignettes without any sort of real goal or conflict following them (Twilight and Fluttershy give Spike a bath, the girls watch a basketball game) and is essentially filler. Since most of the characters act pretty bland, this winds up coming off as boring rather than adorable.
  3. Would we get our Spike and Shining Armor bonding?
  4. The elements of harmony are stuck in a tree. If this is the case what is Love supposed to be? Because remember Shining Armor is supposed to be the one who is actually a war leader. Also we've seen her as a political leader several times, most obviously in Princess Spike. She didn't get the map until an entire season after she became the Princess of Friendship, and now seemingly stopped doing that once again. When it comes to this season Ember and Glimmer have both been learning from Spike rather than Twilight, and didn't forget the friends they had back in Canterlot either.
  5. By "What About Discord?" and "No Second Prances" she clearly still has trouble with her own title, that's a good thing it makes her easier to relate to. Is her title supposed to imply that most good-natured ponies are supposed to want to be friends with her? Does she lose it if she somehow instigates or exacerbates a conflict between two friends? I feel like this title stops most internal conflicts regarding her from happening, which just sucks.
  6. Was this in one of the shorts? I dunno maybe Starswirl joined the City Council to ensure that his magical dumping ground wouldn't cause problems for either world?
  7. I'm trying to believe that Cinch trying to convince the school board about the disastrous events of the games is not tied into the existence of magic. They can't possibly try and keep that shit secret.
  8. She has taken several days off from the farm, why is this suddenly a big deal?
  9. Except they have been true before, even more in the case of the MLP leaks because most people don't bother. I am upset that we don't have the Smash and Nintendo NX "leakers" as MLP fans.
  10. This hasn't been confirmed fake by staff though. Last season we did have an entire episode list leaked extremely early on.
  11. I never even intended for that animatic to freak people out, I wanted people to discuss it as if it was legit. The fandom shouldn't have worried so much about being fooled, especially when I needed to cheat and use some special intel to make it look more legit.
  12. I'd ask you why? When I have done it before, so many times it is pointless.
  13. Considering they are quick to confirm everything else as fake, yes!
  14. Source is /mlp/, show staff have ignored this when tweeted about it so I'm inclined to believe this is legit. 14. Stranger Than Fan Fiction 15. The Cart Before the Ponies 16. 28 Pranks Later 17. The Times Are a Changeling 18. Dungeons and Discords
  15. That sounds more shocking, I really want to believe that's the case since let's not forget he also missed the opportunity to meet a new relative of is to help Starlight with a new friendship lesson. Now he is going to give up helping out his crush to help her too?
  16. Spike probably does as well, we know he has a fanbase.
  17. Pretty much like Mega Man, he/she/it can use any special talents it can analyze and can switch between them instantly.
  18. I wonder if Spike is going to show up in a different scene, I'm not left with much hope for this episode if he was just forgotten about.
  19. It is from the latest EQG book, on the back cover and mentioned in story.
  20. That ponytail is really adorable, but too bad Rarity didn't pick her clothes.
  21. The comics are terrible, but the books are great, especially the Cadance one released today.
  22. Despite the significance of the Crystal Empire and constantly visiting it, as well as the Royal Family there being given so much attention in the show, comics, and books, why aren't they full fledged main characters now? I mean we have Shining Armor, Cadance, Flurry Heart, and Sunburst, we can start to have episodes that just take place in the Crystal Empire instead of Ponyville. I don't see why we don't start developing THEM more.
  23. It actually does kind of make sense, unintentionally though.
  24. Rarity seems to care about Spike way more than she cares about Rainbow Dash (and at this moment), and probably Flutershy and Pinkie.
