Strange isn't necessarily a bad thing.

  2. As others have said before me, I also like the violin. Of all the instruments I've heard, I've found the violin conveys almost every emotion. It is just simply evocative! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYCmUSDnxb4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsYjxXd7Nuk
  3. I saw my first episode of MLP exactly four months ago. I didn't know I would spend the next four months experiencing an amazing show and fandom, not to mention making some awesome friends!

Indeed, a story many of us share and I couldn't have been happier with the decision to watch this show and join this fandom too!

  4. Economic clout is underrated.

      Economic trout is overrated.

Also, it's cool you read four books a week, but this is adding to my theory that you're a shut in that never sees the sun...I think your a vampire, lol. j/k

  5. Hi! Would anyone here be interested in joining a philosophy chat group on Skype?

I was debating whether to change it for that reason. It's why I wrote it the way I did to begin with. But, I was feeling silly looking at it. I'm bothered by incorrect Latin grammar.

Latin grammar is pretty hard imo, but I always wanted to learn the language.

I love Latin. I took four years.

  10. I've always hated the term "hand-dipped." Sounds like someone dips their hand in it. Maybe use "hand-spun?'' "Hand-made?"
  11. I have to say, these shorts haven't been too bad! Also, dat Kurt Vonnegut title reference...
  12. Do you become 20% cooler in 10 seconds flat, or does the soda become 20% flat it 10 seconds?
  13. Titanic was best ship.

  14. Sadly(?), ramen has been spoiled for me. A few years ago, I had a bout of food poisoning. Since ramen was the last thing I ate, I can't look at it without feeling ill, even though it was probably wasn't even the ramen that did it.
  15. So, we all know that some people are just charismatic. They just have that certain "gift" which makes them popular, attractive, and desirable to associate with. Recently, I have been wondering what the opposite of charismatic is? Is it merely just not having that special "stuff" which makes one attractive, or is there perhaps a "gift" of negative charisma, where you just have this innate ability to repel people? Thoughts?
  16. R - 17 H - 15 G - 9 S - 6 Makes sense! Ravenclaw all the way!
  17. Sort of. I'm saying that both malicious people and annoying people are disliked. However, the key difference between the two is intent. Obviously, malicious people are trying to cause negative situations, but annoying people are not. Maybe they just don't have social intelligence, or they have a social disorder. They might want to be friends with others, but are rejected continuously through no fault of their own. I was simply musing on the irony that malicious people are certainly more of a problem, yet could point out that at least the dislike of them is justified.
  18. I have an interest in cooking as a hobby, and Ramsay is one of my inspirations. I'm going to New York for the summer, and you can bet I'm going to eat at his restaurant while I'm there! There is an interesting difference between his American and British shows. It's funny to see how the different cultural expectations of both audiences are reflected in his shows. For example, the American version of Kitchen Nightmares is modeled after a reality show, with the dramatic music, shocking scenes, and badmouthing interviews. The British version plays out more as a documentary.
