  1. Welcome to MLP Forums NameWTH. :pinkie:

  2. Thanks for the comments. <3 I'm trying out some new stuff for my next song so hopefully it'll be better. ;o
  3. I swear I'll come out with some MLP stuff some day...I keep trying and failing. D: Anyways, yeah, more happy electro stuffs. Oh and a random 12 seconds of spontaneous dubstep wobble bass just for Jibus. I'm kinda sick at the moment and can't really hear properly, so the volume mixing could quite possibly be a bit off. Or a lot off...I can't really tell. I would've waited a few days to do it, but I'm starting a new project and I'd probably forget to come back to this one to finish the mixing later since my memory is about as useful as...something...very useless...? ANYWAYS, here's the song. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrKiosORncI
  4. If you're jailbroken there's an awesome Rainbow Dash iPod theme that I use, though I modified mine a bit to only include certain parts (backgrounds and dash to unlock) using iFile. If you're looking for backgrounds only, here's the images: Main: Lock screen:
  5. Thanks again for the feedback. <3 Also, just tried that listening to both at the same time thing, and just...whoa. Someone should definitely try to do a drum cover of that.
  6. Thanks for the comments. =D Really glad to hear you both liked them, especially since they were both way out of my comfort zone for writing. Although considering how much fun I had writing the first one I might do some more of that. ;o Edit: I'm definitely going to have to try that when I get back on my laptop tomorrow. I wish iPods had that feature. D:
  7. So I made another two songs and you know, since I'm all pathetic and want views and stuff I figured I'd post them here. <3 First one is a happy electro song. So yep. And the second one was a kinda unofficial semi-request from Jibus, since he asked me in my other post if I'd ever thought about doing dubstep. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  8. *Too lazy to set up quotes on my iPod* Yes, interestingly enough FL's default drum samples are the ones that sound the best in my songs. Most kick samples I've tried sound hideous when those little double kick rolls come in, and I haven't found any other decent snappy snare samples. The hi-hat I was just too lazy to look... =P Glad you both liked it. <3 Hopefully my next one will be a bit longer. ;o
  9. I had nothing better to do, so I figured I'd give Slicex a try. Picked Cranky Doodle because I noticed it lacked remixes. And...yeah. That's pretty much all I have to say about it, really. Hope you like it? ;o
  10. The first one was actually meant to be like that - it was meant to reflect the name of the song. Which is also why it ends so suddenly. ;o Oh, so it's electro. I finally know my own song's genre. <3And I could attempt to do some dubstep, yeah. Could take me a little while since I'm still a bit new to Massive, and I can't seem to get any good Skrillex-style wobble sounds out of Sytrus (they always end up sounding like if you just pronounced "wub wub" :l), but I'll give it a try. Thanks to both of you for the feedback. Glad to know you liked them. <3 By the way, any idea how I'd go about removing instruments from an mp3 track? I attempted the Audacity invert trick, and it didn't seem to work at all. Maybe Pinkie Pie is just too much for Audacity to handle. D: Never mind, got it. ;o Hopefully it's alright for me to post again since it's been 3 days. Oh it merges automatically. Never mind then. Here's another electro song I wrote. ;o I'll hopefully be posting a song up to the pony-related section soon. <3
  11. Oh, that makes a lot more sense than how I was thinking of erasing it all at once. =P Thanks again for all the help. Should be enough to get me started now.
  12. If you had done the same thing on paper, would you erase the frame as you were drawing or would you have erased it all at once at the same time as you moved it away in the video? ;o Thanks for all the help - I'm usually able to teach myself stuff but for some reason drawing is something I've never known where to start with. D:
  13. Oh, I see. That would explain my drawings always being way out of proportion then. Thanks for the explanation. Is the gesture art another type of frame, or would that typically be done separate from the frame? And thanks for the site ShadowBolt - just found a guide on MLP that looks pretty thorough and beginner friendly, so I guess I'll be starting with that today after work.
  14. Thanks a ton for answering so thoroughly. ;o I'll take another look for a tutorial, I guess. Probably was just unlucky with the ones I happened to check. I'm a little confused about what you meant with the frame. I think I may be referring to something else when I say frame, so once I'm on back my computer I'll post a quick example. Edit: Here we go. Maybe that is what you meant and I'm just misunderstanding what you said. If that's the case, then what do you mean exactly by "consistently draw them on model," and how would you use it to help you with shading? ;o
  15. I'm hoping this is the correct place to post this, since it seems like the most relevant section even though I have no pictures to share. I'd like to start getting into drawing, but I'm really bad at it. As in stickmen are about the extent of my drawing ability. So I was hoping some of you might be able to help me get started since, y'know, a bunch of you are amazing at it. So on to my questions. 1) First and most important one, does anypony know where I can find a good step by step tutorial starting right from the beginners stage? I've tried looking at a few sites and I find they either skip stuff (or maybe I'm just that bad at drawing straight lines and wasn't ready for the next step :l), or they just move way too slowly and I get bored after 4 days before I even get to drawing any sort of a picture. If it makes a difference to what kind of tutorial I should use, I am in fact interested in drawing in the same general style as My Little Pony characters are drawn. 2) I notice sometimes in short guides (like when I learned to draw Perry the Platypus), a lot of the time they start with a frame kind of a thing. Like, shapes in place of body parts (such as an oval for each limb, circle for the head, etc.) that you just end up erasing later anyway. What are those for, exactly? Are they just a beginner thing or is that something even advanced artists use? 3) If I learn to draw on paper (which is what I'd like to learn first), is it easy to learn how to draw on the computer afterwards, or are they significantly different from each other? That's it for now, though I may think of a few more later. Thanks in advance to anypony who helps out. <3
