    Alright so the new Star Trek pilot is going to air either in September or October. I'm willing to give it a shot but I'm still unsure about it.

      It might might be. A crowd-sourced Television Movie made by Tim Russ (who played Tuvok in Voyager) called Star Trek Renegades was submitted to CBS as a pilot for a new Television series. Looking at the trailers though there are a couple of alarm bells going off.

       

      1.) The Captain for this series is Lexxa Singh, a descendant of Kahn.

      2.) It looks like they're making it dark and gritty. It looks more focused on action than it is on the philosophy Star Trek is known fo...

      2. Did they miss the point of Star Trek was supposed to be a brighthope future of humanity in space and not some dark gritty crap?

       

      The fact it's crowd sourced does leave me worried about it even more.

      I have no clue. This is kind of off putting. If Khan had a daughter then he would have had no reason to go as crazy as he did in Wrath of Kahn, I'm pretty sure any children he had would have kept him sane. This is completely out of the blue.
