  1. I've noticed something in regards to Animated shows made for older audiences. Through shows like Family Guy, Bob's Burgers and other shows along those lines it seems as if the older we get the more we're treated as if we get stupider and more juvenial sense of humor. Is it too much to ask for an Animated Show for an older audience with a serious storyline instead of juvenile humor?

I'll admit, the only adult animated show is South Park. But I'm going to say that that show caused it. South Park actually got the humor right and had more to it than just that. After that, most adult shows tried too hard to be like South Park. Hence Family Guy, Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon, Brickleberry. You know the ones. The last adult cartoon that I feel didn't do that was either King of the Hill or Futurama.

Unfortunately, we're in that risk-averse corporate culture of follow the leader where it's scary for anyone to do anything that remotely looks like it goes against the grain of the status quo. Animation with serious storylines should be done, but the corporate parents don't see that potential and aren't willing to take the risk.
