    I'm apathetic on the matter. that's generally an area where no laws forbid and it may or may not matter to some people. Also whether it's cute or not is subjective. Nobody's saying the ship is canon, as always people are shipping just for fun. I'd say let them have their fun.

    My mistake! I was using a number thrown around on EqD. I looked at the episode. But apparently the connection is that Pinkie and her sisters are POSSIBLY fourth cousins twice removed.

    I believe in the episode Pinkie Apple Pie it was stated a connection that's something like 50 generations back and a generation is about 25 years so the connection would be about 1250 years back and it might be by marriage. And do keep in mind that it isn't confirmed and even if it was, it's far too distant to even matter.

    To be fair that is really REALLY far back. Something like 50 generations back I believe. People can argue that it's it's a bit too distant for it to even matter.

    Oh boy. So there's this story regarding the Steven Universe fandom that just broke out and it's beginning to make me think about something my friends said about how all fandoms are horrible and how the the very concept of a fandom is dangerous.

    I just read the Sirens Fiendship is Magic comic. I think my imagination just shut down to protect itself from imagining how what I saw would sound!!

      Ted Anderson always drops the ball hard when it comes to the EQG comics.

       

      It's kind of sad when the best EQG parts as far as the comics were the 8-page shorts(Sunset before EQG and Human and Pony Mane-iac)

    This is a light-hearted fantasy world with a talking dog, dimension hopping, singing sea-horses that possess people and Pony-Human morphs that use magic. Realism isn't exactly what I'm looking for. It's pretty much like asking for realism from TMNT, Fairly Odd Parents, South Park, the Simpsons, Family Guy (these two flip flop between realistic and unrealistic whenever they feel like it), Dan Vs., Powerpuff Girls, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Invader Zim and several other cartoons with humans! If you're looking for realism you're watching the wrong show. Just because a show is set in a "Human World" that looks like ours doesn't really mean it's going to follow the rules of the real world. Kind if silly to expect realism in a show that has made it clear that it's not supposed to be realistic.

    But of a hard choice you're giving us here, Justice is a form of morality that fits the behavior, not the opposite of mercy. You can show mercy whilst being just. I think the words you're looking for are "Punishment vs Rehabilitation".

    No, I really don't think DHX should switch voice actors. They're good the way they are and should stay. The show is progressing and changing as it goes along and with it we see the characters change with it. With this change we're seeing the characters, such as the CMC, grow, change and progress with their Voice Actors. Crusaders of the Lost Mark especially showed that the Crusaders and other characters like Diamond Tiara are growing up. The show has been shattering the status quo throughout its run.It's been making changes and there's no going back from them and honestly I like the fact that they're changing the show as it's going. If you want the show to stay as good, fun and interesting as it is then there needs to be changes throughout the run, otherwise the show would have gone stagnant and boring a long time ago. Things can't stay the same forever.

    No pony in their right mind would want to be with Blueblood. Except for maybe those in the Canterlot Elite but they are the worst Equestria has to offer anyway. (The exception: Fancypants)

    I swear Canadian News Media is useless. Instead of talking about important things that can effect the country severely like FIPA or the TPP, they talk about uselss stuff like Fluffy the Dog opening any door she likes!

    Be that as it may, I still can't accept it as canon as there is more evidence to support Golden Harvest as Dinky's mother than there is evidence supporting that Derpy is. While she's not next to Golden Harvest, she's at least around her. Outside this episode I don't recall a single instance where she's been with Derpy. At best we can assume Derpy was babysitting or as @Malinter said she could be related to Dinky in another way. While there may be more Fandom love for the 'Dinkey is Derpy's Daughter' theory, that this new scene is not going to be enough to overwrite a canon that has more evidence backing it.

    There have also been scenes where Amethyst Star has been scene with Carrot Top and Amethyst Has been with Dinky a few times outside the social so that might also be canon.

    First two seasons. There were a few scenes where Dinky has been with Golden Harvest and Silver Script (also confirmed as Golden Harvest's husband), which makes more sense as the entire family is composed of unicorns,
