  1. Silent Hill 2 - Easily the best in the series, fantastic story and a great scary atmosphere.
  2. Nope! I actually revisited some of the 90's cartoons and I can say this: 90's Cartoons from Cartoon Network for the most part have aged pretty well. The Cartoons from Nickelodeon on the other hand have just aged poorly. Now I can't say that much for animated comedy shows since I don't usually bother with those but I've seen some pretty good ones from the 00's like Invader Zim. As for action-based animated shows they have aged well for the most part (though Spider-Man '94, while it's still good, is dated due to the heavy censorship that took place back them) but I think it's safe to say that the action cartoons of today are just as good if not better. If you take a franchise action-based cartoon from the late 80's or 90's and compare it to a future incarnation of a show from the 00's or 10's, chances are you are going to pick one of the future generations. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: '87 show was topped by the '03 show which was then topped by the '12 show Transformers: Beast Wars was topped by Transformers Prime. Spider-Man: Spider-Man '94 ended up getting topped by the Spectacular Spider-Man. Unfortunately the cartoon after that didn't retain that quality and plunged Spider-Man into a Dork Age on the Animated front. But yeah, Action-based western-animated shows for the most part have aged well but the newer ones tend to be better. As for Anime in the 90's....no! Most haven't aged well at all. Voice acting in the 90's for the most part sucked, the dialog just seems corny and the art style from back then just looks ugly today. There are some exceptions, don't get me wrong, we have Trigun and Cowboy Beebop after all. And while the dialog is VERY corny now I do enjoy Gundam Wing.
  3. They're phasing out Spongebob with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so that's a good start right there. They just need to make more shows that are just as good.

  5. The 90's was a dark time for TMNT!

  6. No, I don't believe so but to quote the Fourth Doctor I'm a person who enjoys Animated Shows and Movies, games and comics and a lot of those things are associated with "childishness". Well to that I ask you: What is "Adult" then? Just working, filing taxes and paying bills with the only bit of fun being going to bars, getting lotto tickets, watching sports and watching shows that meet a certain criteria? Well that sounds awfully boring. Have fun however you want so long as it's not hurting anyone. If you want cartoons (you are on an MLP site after all) watch it! If you want to play games, play them! If you want to read a comic, read it! It's your way of being entertained and you shouldn't that others might think of it as "childish". It's not affecting them. Besides a lot people play games and watch cartoons and they're responsible adults.
  7. Magical Ponies, Ninja Turtles and Transforming Robots. What is my life!?

  8. Not a fan, I honestly can't see how they got so popular. Their countdowns are bland, boring, emotionless, ill-researched and have a cheap, mass-produced feel to them.
  9. *Cringe* Even reviews of G3 is painful!! *Note to self: Cancel it out with My Little Pony The Movie when you can."

  10. I shall now issue a challenge to Nuke87654 (Next time I'm just gonna call you NukeNumberJumble!) and Dark Quivet!

Your challenge will be to watch a five-part episode of Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation and then review it.

When will the offer expire and how do I watch the series?

    4. The Coffee Pony

      The Coffee Pony

It's on Netflix and it's on a few other sites I know of. The episode title is East Meets West, offer expires in a month.

  11. *just finished watching Escape from Caterina* Well that was anti-climactic.

  12. Ah, I see we finally got a teaser for Season 5! SPRING 2015!!

  13. I see the Anarchy thread is gone. I must have missed one hell of a crapstorm.

  14. I find action-based Western Animated shows are more interesting to watch than action-based Anime. I'll also take western comic books over manga any day of the week.
  15. Looks like Hasbro won't be buying Dreamworks after all.

      It's all ogre now.

    2. Arctic Night

      Arctic Night

I knew it all along. Hail Hasbro.

  16. Whether or not you think it's wrong to criticize him for what he can potentially do, you have to admit that it's rather odd of him to write a comic about cyberbullying when he supports and promotes known cyberbullies!!
  17. Allow me to pitch an idea! An MLP Parody called All-Star My Little Pony!

I haven't. What exactly is the context here?

    3. Nuke87654

      Nuke87654

It's pretty much a comic infamous for turning the once famed comic writer Frank Miller into among the most reviled for having Batman abusing Robin, being an even more evil person than the villans. Check up Linkara's review on it I believe.

^Not to mention the Joker is so OOC it hurts!!

  18. So the man that insulted his audience by saying sexism against men and racism against white people is okay as its an act of rebellion is writing a comic about how Cyberbullying is bad despite the fact that in his last comic he promoted the blogs of a couple of cyberbullies who openly hate and have advocated violence towards the very fanbase of the comics he is writing for!! PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH TED!!!
  19. *pops in TMNT and sees an ad for HD DVD* It's very strange watching this when you have the knowlege that HD DVDs are a dead format.

  20. *looks on Equestria Daily* Oh boy, the Ted Anderson shitstorm is starting again. >.>

Also, blegh, Seth McFarlane! I already have a few issues with him and using Brian as a mouthpiece in Family Guy!

  21. What's this? Hasbro is in talks with Dreamworks Animation about a merger?

    1. Nuke87654

      Nuke87654

Not sure it's a good idea considering dreamworks struggles recently.

    2. Arctic Night

      Arctic Night

I think that it is a poor investment.

  22. Okay, I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. . .What happened exactly?

  23. "American cartoon channels, particularly Cartoon Network, have been relying on CGI and Flash Animated shows due to their cheapness, so they could even be contributing to a possible Second Dark Age Of Animation in the States." - TV Tropes, Dork Age, Western Animation. ...REALLY TV TROPES!? REALLY!? FLASH/CGI ANIMATION =/= BAD!!! Must I bring up my list of of good animated shows made in recent years!?

It comes from a result or using blind nostalgia as a basis for an argument

    3. The Coffee Pony

      The Coffee Pony

I can also name some good hand-drawn series and good animated shows from the 2000's as well!

As someone who was born in '91 and gave the shows made from 2000-onwards a chance, I can safely say that western animation did NOT crap out after the 90's and that every 90's kid going "REMEMBER THE 90'S!! SHOWS SUCK NOW!!" need to shut up and take off the nostalgia goggles!

    4. Moved to Elsewhere

      Moved to Elsewhere

And when you tell them to take off the nostalgia goggle, they'll come up witb some bull reason why they're all bad without watching them

  24. Going to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. THIS IS GOING TO END WELL!!

  25. The end of the fandom is not neigh! franchise fandom! You rest easy!
