Aww really? Ya when I first saw it, it was trippy, but I gave it a watch again and for some reason I like it, dunno if its the old style animation tradition, or the story kinda reminding of the Moses saving his people and brining them to a new land thing.
Indeed. IMO, the animation reminded me of the original LOTR's cartoon, as well as the 80's special effects, but the story itself was just odd. It actually gave me a "heartache" on some scenes, because of its dark setting as well as the sad ending.
