  1. Not a mod. It's entirely standalone, as well as free. I don't believe much more content is on the way aside from patches for bugs. Thus far, I've only encountered the occasional CTD and freeze, happening for mostly the same reasons that are avoidable. Though, I've heard people have encountered some gamebreaking quest bugs, that has yet to happen to me.
  2. No, this is actually my second account, since I lost access to my first(I believe named Андрей) due to what I believe is a site issue, and all 3 of my support requests were ignored. I just don't come here or post that much anymore, since I lost my old account and because this forum just kind of sucks.
  3. So, if any of you are long-time or huge fans of the STALKER series, you might remember that, back when the first game was announced(in 2001), THQ promised a lot of features and showed off a lot of content for the game GSC was developing, Shadow of Chernobyl. You might also remember how many of these features(advanced and dynamic AI, advanced wildlife system, and drivable cars) were entirely absent when it came out many years later, along with locations and other content stripped out and replaced with numerous bugs. While many of you, even STALKER fans, may not remember this, it would seem the indie developer group Dezowave has not forgotten. Their newly released free and standalone game, STALKER: Lost Alpha promises to deliver the game that was promised to us STALKERs back in 2001, along with updated graphics, less bugs(although, there are a lot of bugs still, and plenty of new ones, but with patches on their way), restored locations and content, all for the ridiculous price of absolutely nothing. If you are a veteran STALKER, someone interested in the series, or even someone who hasn't ever heard of the games, I would highly recommend checking this game out on their ModDB page, if you've got a decent enough PC to run it, enough space(about 15-20 GB), and a bit of patience to get through the installation. Note: the game is, as mentioned, fairly buggy(I've gotten my fair share of CTD's and crashes only a few hours into the game) and the installation isn't very intuitive, and the instructions on their ModDB page aren't that accurate. If any of you need help installing the game, feel free to PM me or post here, and I'll walk you through it.
  4. un·char·is·mat·ic ˌənˌkarizˈmatik/ adjective adjective: uncharismatic lacking the charm and attractiveness that can inspire enthusiasm in others.
  5. Humour is one of the ways we deal with morbid things. A lot of jokes take their premise in really dark subject matter, such as racism, violence, etc. As for a distinctive answer, yes, they can be funny, just as you pointed out some examples of ones that were. There can also be jokes that aren't funny or rely too much on shock value. And, as another spin on this, I'd say there is a distinction between making jokes about suicide and making jokes involving suicide. For instance, in the joke made in your example of the Deadpool game, the joke isn't focused on suicide, it only incorporates it. Rather, the joke focuses on how easily bored Deadpool is, and the extreme reaction he has to things that bore him. As for funny jokes actually focused on the topic of suicide, I can't think of any, but I'm sure there might be some that may elicit a chuckle from me.
