      Exactly! I love reading things that become like a supplementary canon to me, if you ask me those are some of the most satisfying fanfictions :D

      You ever read Chengar Qordath's stuff? The Winningverse is probably my favorite fanfiction series. I love it so much that I'm incorporating certain character interpretations and even some OCs from it into my own work, with CQ's permission of course.
