I think even the show's staff said they always called her Derpy from the start.

The writers were going to call her Ditzy Doo, having uttered the name without indicating who it was in Winter Wrap Up. Only at the last minute did they call her Derpy in Last Roundup as a nod to the fans, and it blew up in their face because no one thought to check if people on the internet could be mean.

I really don't know the answer to this. I actually do this but i'm too afraid to ask anyone in person if its ok, I was raised dominantly by females so idk who to ask. Is the legs ok? I see some guys at school with more hair on their legs then some people have on their head (you can't even see the skin) and others don't have any at but i don't if that part is just genetic. I'v heard its ok for swimmers to do, which is what I am. I like to keep my whole body shaven. (I had teach myself how to even get started a few years ago). i don't even know anything about the arms

Many male athletes do, for reasons ranging from aesthetics to physics, and I have yet to hear of any harms coming from it.

  3. As a series, Equestria Girls was made to sell toys. Indeed, this has been the standard operating procedure for Hasbro since at least the 80s. The shows are intended as glorified advertising for whichever line it's about, and the amazing part is that TV stations PAID HASBRO for the privilege of running their glorified ads. The fact Hasbro's older shows now engender nostalgia from those who remember them is mostly due to the incredible skill, talent and professionalism of the people who did the work of creating them, rather than any conscious effort on Hasbro's part and in future, any similar nostalgia for Friendship is Magic can be laid directly at the feet of Lauren Faust, her initial team of writers, the voice actors and DHX rather than Hasbro.

In short, when the whole premise of the series can be summed up as "We made our pony characters human.", you knew you weren't getting anything terribly inventive and I suspect you will hear more nostalgia for the original series than Equestria Girls.

  4. The bulk of the dislike of this pairing is pretty obvious: Spike has always been referred to as a "baby" dragon and is chronologically around the same age (or perhaps slightly younger) than Rarity's own sister. Of course, that's hard to take seriously because his personality is such that he seems much more mature than any of the Crusaders. He's certainly mature enough to run Twilight's entire household for her.

As for the endgame, sadly, I think what we've seen is what we'll get. There'll be no Happily Ever After by the end of the series. As it is they've shied very much away from having any major character enter a serious relationship (closest they've come is with Big Mac and Sugar Belle) and given some negative reaction I don't think they're likely to change.

Applejack's ears pricked up at the sound of Trixie stirring beside her. "Yeah, I'm here." she said, gradually working her way to sit up. "You all right? You looked in rough shape before the storm hit."

Applejack strained to look towards where the hole in the hull was. Or she thought it was. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the small amount of light filtering through the fabric of the balloon from outside.

Applejack breathed a deep sigh, not looking forward to the prospect of the physical labour that it was going to take to unearth themselves. Not with this shoulder, anyway. "Looks like we got a lot o' sand dumped on us." she said glumly.

Here in Ukraine it's probably Christmas, because we officially have two Christmas days (December 25th and January 7th). Also, the Old New Year - it's as weird as it sounds.

Not weird. There's a large Ukrainian population here in Canada that celebrates Malanka.

Applejack's eyes lit up with delight as she turned back towards Luna. "Oh, I'd love to see Vanhoover!" she exclaimed. "My grandfather's farm is there. It'd be great to see it, and the city, too!"  she said, then turned back towards Red Cedar. "Do y'all know the Pear family or their orchard?" she asked.

Red Cedar nodded as realization dawned on him. Applejack. He had heard that name before, and not just from the news. I fact, he remembered buying fritters from the mare on his last trip to Ponyville. Not surprising that the rest of her family were farmers, too. "I know of them," he replied. "Most ponies in Vanhoover do, their orchard's huge. And they make really good pear cider every year that's just..."

Red cut himself short as the snow sculpture turned into a tall, lanky form of... something or other. Applejack simply raised her eyebrow at Discord as he talked to Luna. Well, sometimes Discord could be enjoyable company, and sometimes not. It all depended on his mood, and that, like everything else about him, was pretty chaotic.

Watching him turn into a large cluster of ears pointed towards the Princess, however, well, that was something else. Nope, that's the fourth weirdest thing I ever saw. Maybe even third. she thought to herself. Come to think of it, even the first and second were Discord.
