  1. After briefly wondering how much I drank the night before, I would slowly and carefully creep out of bed and out of the house because I know darn well that if she found me in her bed Applejack would buck me out her window.
  2. As it is, she uses her wings to propel her scooter and launch herself into some acrobatics. It's a matter of strength training at this point. If Bulk Biceps can fly, Scootaloo will one day manage it. Edit: Even if Scootaloo was intended to be disabled, they'd probably admit to Applejack's parents being dead first.
  3. It probably won't be an apple. Maybe something apple shaped, but not an actual apple. My bet would be a farming implement of some kind, as the other keys so far have been something related to what the ponies do. There's no way on Equestria, though, that Applejack would take a wedding ring from either one of them. No way, no how.
  4. Very close to being a regular here now. Or at least look it after a week.

  5. I'm definitely a black tea fan. One of the nicest commercial brands I've found recently is Yorkshire Gold. Great stuff if you can find it, but it's imported from England, so you have to find it. Strong and dark and rich. I've stopped bothering with Teavana as their selection of black teas in favour of about a million others that are more expensive is now pitiful. It's even worse that they also bought out one of my favourite small independent tea shops as well. If you're in British Columbia, however, or can mail order, you cannot go wrong with Murchie's Teas.
  6. Okay, new one on my list. If you've seen "Maud Pie", read this. If you haven't seen "Maud Pie", pirate it, watch it, and then read this. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/175629/1/my-sediments-exactly/my-sediments-exactly
  7. Everyone else already said my main reason. It's because, underneath the pony exterior, it's Weird Al Yankovic!

  9. As long as they don't treat certain mumbling characters the same way in both shows, I might be okay with it. I mean, I'd be traumatized to tune in to watch My Little Pony only to be confronted with: "Oh my God! They killed Fluttershy! You BASTARDS!"
  10. Twilight Sparkle occasionally reminds me of Raven from Teen Titans (the older version of the series), however, I think the reason for that is entirely Tara Strong's fault.
  11. Pinkie said she had 200 pounds of it. Not even she can eat that much sugar without going into diabetic shock. Fun episode all around.
  12. I admit I'm going only on what Wikipedia says. I don't know anyone with it (that I'm aware of). Still, I think Maud is just Maud.
  13. Not sure that it's necessary, but it would be interesting if done right. In any case, I would like to see the Crusaders get their cutie marks before the series ends.
  14. Keep in mind, this is a children's show. Maud was written that boring for comedic effect, and it worked. Only we would explore her mental state in such detail (and probably will through a slew of fanfics in the near future). That said, no, she probably doesn't have Asperger's because she was quite astute at determining that she and the other ponies had nothing in common and didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or hurt about it, least of all Pinkie Pie. I think the more realistic reason she is the way she is is because she has her parents as her parents. Pinkie Pie is, after all, the pink sheep of the family.
  15. I'd have to say other for the same reason Flipturn did. We didn't see Maud's cutie mark. That bothered me, since they're such an integral part of a pony's identity. Otherwise, good episode about how not everyone has a lot in common with everyone else.
  16. Barring magic, they'd probably do whatever was possible to save it first, as it would be equivalent to losing any other limb for a pegasus. If they still couldn't heal it enough for the pegasus to fly, I imagine amputation would be a last resort only. We're talking the equivalent of gangrene setting in or something. A pegasus with only one wing would probably look (and worse, feel) horribly deformed and broken, so even if only for cosmetic reasons they'd probably try and save the wing, in the same way a person who can no longer walk doesn't have their legs removed.
  17. Yeah, traditional naming conventions in Equestria seem to go out the window. Genealogy must be a huge challenge in their world. No wonder Pinkie Pie couldn't definitively say she was related to the Apples. Rarity Belle has a nice ring to it, though.
  18. How would I react to this? Five words: "Applejack, will you marry me?"
  19. I admit it, I laughed at this. Seriously, though, it's a kids' show, so they're not going to stray far out of familiar territory for this sort of thing. That means little more than schoolfoal crushes and subtle flirting for the Mane 6. Only the few characters already established as being married are going to be seen to be in a relationship. Shipping is for us to have fun with.
  20. Don't know that you'd call him an "analyst", but I stumbled across Jerry Peet's Youtube videos and just about died laughing at his episode reviews. The best two are "Lesson Zero in Three Minutes" and "Hearts and Hooves Day in Two Minutes".
  21. I'm going to try and stay optimistic, but let's not forget Hasbro is a business. I'm sure they'd pull the plug before five years is up if their revenue declines (i.e. sales of DVDs, iTunes episodes and toys). Bronies are probably to thank for the show's longevity as it is, but if we go, and all that is left is the core audience (children who don't have disposable income of their own) then they'll probably call it quits. That said, it does provide an incentive to keep delivering a quality show. Hopefully the writers don't burn out.
  22. I've only just started getting into the fanfiction, so I have a lot of catching up to do. However, the one that is currently blowing me away, despite its sad subject matter, is "Why Am I Crying". (Long synopsis short: The Cutie Mark Crusaders react to the sudden death of Diamond Tiara.) Unfortunately, it's not yet complete, so I'm hanging on the edge of my monitor waiting for it. (It is more than adequate that I know stories like Cupcakes and Cheerilee's Garden exist, and I really don't want to read them.)
  23. Fluttershy was bullied. She probably thinks it is ponies who have a double standard. The animals who come to her for help return the kindness generally (dragons and cockatrices with already mean dispositions notwithstanding). If she's reluctant to help anyone, it's because it is likely it will expose her either to criticism (or worse, being made fun of again) or draw more attention to herself than she would really like. If anything, it is probably only the other five who she would be willing to help out of the blue, and even that is dependent on the situation, as Rainbow Dash found out.
  24. 1. Applejack. She's most level-headed, even if she's got a proud streak bordering on a martyr complex. (The accent doesn't hurt!) 2. Fluttershy. Quiet and kind with a deep inner strength. 3. Rainbow Dash. Loads of fun if a bit boastful. 4. Twilight Sparkle. Almost as level headed as Applejack, but prone to occasional outbursts of panic and a bit of OCD. She also works Spike too hard. 5. Rarity. Bit snooty, and takes even worse advantage of Spike than Twilight does. 6. Pinkie Pie. Sure, she can throw the party of the century on a near-daily basis, but any other time, she's just plain loud!
  25. I'm going to add my two cents in and pretty much agree with the whole thread. The Mane 6 all seem to be in their early twenties, especially as they all either have jobs or own their own businesses. I'd dispute whether Rarity is the oldest, though. She may simply like to give off an affectation of refinement around everypony that leads others to believe she's more mature than her years suggest. Likewise, I'd put Twilight Sparkle at the lower end of the age range along with Rainbow Dash. Dashie's less mature, but, for all intents and purposes, Twilight's a university student. If I had to take a stab at which of the Mane 6 was the oldest based on her character, I'd say it was Fluttershy. The Cutie Mark Crusaders I'd put at around 12, just old enough to start thinking about what it means to be themselves. Spike I'd put at about 15. He's probably around that old in reality (at least, relative to Twilight Sparkle) and his mannerisms reflect that. His problem, however, is that he's a teenager still stuck in the physical body of a toddler.
