      What I really mean is, it seems whenever the show is brought up outside the fandom there seems to be some obligatory "But it's not my favorite show/this other show is better!" every time. Even if they legitimately think that't true, it usually feels kinda forced in. Like some desperate "Don't hate me for this!" kind of move.
