  1. What I expect: Nothing. The absence of any sensation, or thought, or feeling. A complete and total lack of any awareness or consciousness of any form. The end of my life and my existence. What I hope for: Ponies.
  2. Like MegaSean above mentioned, there's nothing about the finale on this page at all. Season 7 is a 26 episode season like most of the others, but this listing only goes up to episode 23 "Secrets and Pies", it's entirely possible and still likely the finale is a two-parter.
  3. I apparently bumped my head hard enough to leave a mark, but I don't remember any incident at all recently which could have caused this. That's slightly worrying.

Seems like I'm fine, just confused where the injury came from. Feel like I'd have noticed something that left that mark.

  4. As far as I can see, most people weren't really talking about one of the Mane Six in particular having a marefriend, just that there could be a gay character on the show, doesn't have to be one of the Mane Six. Personally I'd prefer none of the M6 have romantic plots at all, straight or otherwise, just wouldn't mind somepony outside of them having one. Nobody's treating being straight as a taboo here. Most objections to the M6 having dates or crushes has nothing to do with it being Gay or straight anyway, and more just to do with not wanting that kind of thing in the show at all, or worries about the quality of writing.
  5. Lucky for you, people with your opinion are exactly why Hasbro wouldn't put it in the show. Anyway, what reasons could you have? Because I can't think of any good ones, and I'm curious. Something being "Not normal" isn't really a good one, as it doesn't really matter whether being Gay is normal or not, they're not hurting anyone just by having a different sexual orientation that the majority don't share. Being a brony isn't "Normal" either, now is it? Kids getting confused isn't an issue either I don't think, all it takes is a bit of explaining to them really.
  6. I'm pretty sure Season 7 won't even be finished airing by then...Well, Unless Canada/Australia/whoever else continues with the crazy early release shenanigans. But officially it won't be over yet, so this is...interesting.
  7. Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie all moved to Ponyville a bit later. Pinkie was seemingly still a young filly when that happened so she might have met or seen them once or twice, but we don't know what age Dash and Shy were when they moved, so they could have been older. Rarity's lived there her whole life so again, I think it's possible she might have seen or talked with them a few times, Ponyville seems to be a pretty friendly and close-knit town for the most part.
  8. A lot of people seem to have an issue with it because of the gap in maturity. "What does a 50 year old have in common with a 20 year old?" I've heard people say. Which is a little bit silly because age doesn't necessarily always equate with maturity and life experience. Some 20 year olds are more mature than some 50 year olds, and some 50 year olds are a bit more young at heart. People with age gaps like that can still connect over various things, age isn't some concrete number that defines who you can connect to. Other people might just think it's a bit weird and not something they'd do, they don't find people that much older than them attractive. Which is fine, personal tastes and all that, but people tend to take their tastes, apply it to others, and then decide everyone else is wrong. The amount of people I've seen take issue with gay couples or interracial couples or whatever simply because they feel it's "Gross" personally, and therefore so should everyone else is kind of ridiculous. As long as you're happy with the relationship, I see no issue with it. Its not anyone else's place to decide who you can and can't love.
  9. No, Season 8 is already announced. Agreed, she should clearly be upfront with the rest of the stars!
  10. I'd say that maybe Ponies age normally like humans until they reach adulthood, then their aging slows dramatically. So they stay like they're in the 20-30 range for quite a while despite getting older than that, then maybe the aging process kicks back in later. Of course, it's really just the magic of writer inconsistency that's affecting pony aging.
  11. Nothing, because I don't think the fandom will die. Oh, Die down? Sure, yeah. If the show ends most people will leave and move on with their life, but as with everything there's probably going to be a small minority of really darn loyal fans sticking around. This show and the fandom has had a big impact on some people's lives, some of them won't want to let go of that and will do everything within their power to keep it going.
  12. I wouldn't mind a gay character on the show, and I'm pretty sure most reasonable people wouldn't either. But Hasbro is unlikely to ever do it simply because a lot of more unreasonable people, particularly parents would throw a fit and stop watching/buying toys. It's probably more trouble than it's worth in their eyes, and I can't really blame them. Probably the same as they would for a straight couple. It's really not that confusing honestly, I think most kids would grasp it just fine and accept it no problem.
  13. There's the Pie family too. Golden Delicious's similarities to Pinkie seem to hint they are related after all. I wonder if there's a food named family that isn't connected to the apples...and how long that will last at this rate. One of the Oranges could have been a distant brother or sister that no longer lived on the Apple farm. The Apple siblings likely reacted with shock since, while the Oranges are just part of the Apple family, as far as they seemed to know the Pears and the Apples had always had a long-standing feud, hating each other's guts, they likely didn't think Apples and Pears would get along, let alone get married.
  14. I was tearing up a bit throughout most of it, but a few tears finally managed to slip their way out around the end. The entire episode was just beautiful to me, start to finish. Finally learning about the Apple siblings parents and so far they have the best written romance in the show, it's very sweet but not sickeningly so. Grand Pear's heartfelt apologies at the end really got to me too, he doesn't give a reason but I get the feeling it might have to do with his daughter's passing, just think for a moment...He only came back to Ponyville now, he likely never apologized or made up with her... This is so far, the 5th episode to get some tears out of me. The ending's to Magical Mystery Cure and Crusaders of the Lost Mark both got some Liquid pride, I related to Moondancer too hard not to tear up at the end to Amending Fences, and even though I've never had a real sibling the end to Brotherhooves Social was just too touching to not hit me right in the heart. Now this one can be added to that list, I hope it's not the last.
  15. This always seems to happen in fandom's at some point, as far as I've seen. They pick up more and more fans, and some people just start to go a bit crazy. They become super defensive of the show/game/whatever they love and can't accept any criticism of it, getting angry at anyone who dares say something negative...or otherwise they become over the top negative, hating on nearly everything about it in the harshest manner, and bashing any who disagree with them, to the point where you might wonder if they even like the thing they're supposedly a fan of in the first place. I'm a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Who, Undertale...and I've seen every one of those fandom's do some stuff like this at some point. It seems almost inevitable when you pick up a large following. The thing is, there's always still reasonable people too. People who love something genuinely, without getting obsessed or insanely harsh to everything, people aren't really a hivemind, you're always going to end up with a few "Crazy" people when a fandom get's big enough. The internet just makes this stuff really obvious.
  16. Yeah, I doubt they'll ever be officially canon, but people who like these relationships will continue to read romantic intentions with those characters, even though they know that's never going to happen in the show, because it's fun for them. He's not very emotionally mature though, he certainly doesn't act thousands of years old. I don't really see it as creepy anyway, they're both adults, they could both consent.
  17. No, why would I be? The next half might be weaker, it might not. The episodes are already set in stone and there's nothing we can do about it now. What's the point of sitting here and going "The next episode might suck, the next season might suck, the next half-season might suck...", it accomplishes nothing except worrying you. Why not just wait and see, and hopefully, whether it's weaker or stronger or the same, it'll still be good and you can enjoy it for what it is.
  18. Pretty sure most of those people are just joking. The episode featured a lot of potential "Shipping fuel" by virtue of having Discord and Fluttershy being affectionate with each other, Discord worrying what she thinks of him, Shy knowing him so well and going all chaotic to save him...People ship two ponies if they so much as breathe the same air as each other, so when they act like really good friends, the shippers go nuts. Fluttercord isn't canon, you can read in some shipping fuel if you really want to, but they're just really close friends officially.
  19. Sci-Twi's Magic Tracker/Capture thing was rather Sci-Fi actually, and she built that thing all on her own, as a Student still. I wouldn't mind seeing her make some more stuff like that, cool gadgets to go with the magic powers, why not? I wouldn't mind the boring "Normal" world too much if EQG focused more on the Slice of Life stuff, which it did to an extent with parts of the three specials, but if it would be nice to see things get a bit more exciting if they want to continue the big adventure/battling evil route more often.
  20. Still, Big Mac acted that way because the CMC convinced him that was how you properly attract a mare. Whether Featherbangs came to the same conclusion on his own or was told by somepony else doesn't matter, he acted the same way for the same reason, to try and "Earn" Sugar Belle's affection. Maybe he wasn't interested in the other mares? He was interested in Sugar Belle.
  21. Laptop froze earlier, now it just froze again. I think it's updates causing it, I have to turn it off and on again for it to work, but I don't want to damage it...

  22. Well, they don't affect the show though. They might affect some people's perception of the show, but the show itself will continue as it is despite some people's perceptions. Just keep in mind that it doesn't matter how many people draw clop, it will never be a part of the show in such a manner, it's exclusive to fan content in the same way things like extreme violence or self-inserts are exclusive to fan content. You shouldn't let the type of content some fans like to partake in alter the show for you, just watch and enjoy it for what it is, and enjoy the fan content you do like. I understand your issue with things like clop ending up in places it shouldn't be, but when kept in the proper places, there isn't really any issue with it.
  23. Even if artists are inspired by real horses somewhat for their clop art, I still wouldn't classify it as bestiality. For one, fictional pictures of a fictional character don't hurt anything, it's not the same as actually going out and screwing a horse. Two, the ponies in this show aren't just horses, they're intelligent, thinking beings. They're basically humans in magical horse form. Ponies like Twilight live in houses and read books and eat at restaurants and can have intellectual conversations about the value of Friendship. Real horses don't do that. As if fans clop art has any actual effect on the show...It doesn't.
  24. I really wish I could be better friend and cheer other people up more, but I can't even do that for myself. I don't really understand how anyone can stay in a good mood all day.

not sure pineapple on top counts as "mixing". I can see why pineapple is problematic though, the juice is pretty acidic. there was always the whole forest fruits version?

I like pineapple on its own @CypherHoof, putting it with other things has always been nasty for me.

      @RareBase I am the same.

  25. Yeah. I like them both overall, but I think both their reformations could have been better with a few fixes and changes. For Starlight, I have two big problems. Apologizing to her town and them forgiving her should not have been part of the Season 5 end montage, it should have been an episode all on it's own. The other issue is her backstory...sort of. The thing is, her backstory isn't actually bad in my opinion, it's just the execution. People look at it and comment on how petty and insignificant it is, but that's the whole point. The season 5 finale is all about the "Butterfly effect", how small, seemingly trivial things can completely alter the course of history. Every time Twilight returned to the past, the small little changes affected the future in drastically different ways. Starlight's life is the same. She didn't "Go evil" just because her best friend left and that's it, that was just the event that set the ball rolling in motion. A seemingly small event to an outsider that affected everything that came after. I feel like if they had gone through a bit more of her history, showing the way this event affected her life...such as Starlight isolating herself from others and studying magic out of her fear of losing another friend, perhaps her beginning to adopt her philosophy on Cutie Marks and others rather than talking to her about it, just treating her like she was crazy, driving her further into madness...These kind of things would have made her backstory feel better, and would have more likely gotten the point across. For Sunset, I think we could have done with seeing her keep a few more shades of her pre-reformation self. We have her losing her temper at Sci-Twi and her showing guilt over the magic loose in the human world but that's about it. If she had a few more instances of screwing up or falling back on old bad habits, I think it would have made villain Sunset and reformed Sunset feel a bit more like they are the same character.
