  1. Sounds like the best thing ever, and I'd spend every single waking moment in that VR. I think I'd find it very hard to return to reality when I have to though.
  2. I'd personally like a whole new villain honestly, but if it's going to be a returning one, I'd want Chrysalis back, since she's easily my favorite villain, that isn't reformed anyway. Though, if they do use her I hope they don't contradict any of her appearances in the comics. I really, really don't want Sombra back as the main bad guy, considering that already happened in the comics, and he had a whole character arc and stuff, it'd make no sense for him to return as the villain in the show. People keep arguing the comics aren't considered canon at all, but everything I've seen from writers and Hasbro pins them as being canon in the same way EQG is. Canon, but won't be mentioned in the show. Yeah, there's a few continuity errors, but they're fairly small in my opinion. Straight up bringing Sombra back in show would totally retcon one of my favorite arcs, and I would be really disheartened by that. I doubt the writer's of the show would ever go so out of their way to do that to the comics. Even if they don't read the comics, I'm pretty sure there's still enough communication to avoid a huge situation like this from happening.
  3. Nah, during the storybook segment, when they talk about Tirek's origins, they mention at the end "Scorpan returned to his own land, and Tirek was sentenced to Tartarus for his crimes." I can see how the mistake would be made if you hadn't seen it in a while though.
  4. Um...No? Tirek and Scorpan came from a "Distant land". Tirek was just banished to Tartarus for his crimes.
  5. I agree, I think there should be a season 7. Season 6 seems a bit too early to end it to me, I'm not even close to being tired of ponies yet, and so far, despite a lot of the negativity, I've really enjoyed season 6. It's got plenty of enjoyable episodes, and a few of my new favorites in it. I don't like it quite as much as 5 yet, but I adore 5 to death so this isn't much of a surprise to me. It's still great, and right up there with 2 and 4 as one of my favorites. Honestly, I'm getting a bit disheartened by all the negativity about season six, and all the desires to see the show end. There's nothing wrong with disliking this season, or wanting the show to end. Those are both totally valid opinions to have, but lately it feels like the "The show has gone downhill" is the majority opinion I see the most, and I couldn't disagree more. Then again, I love this show to death. I'm aware of it's flaws, it's not perfect by any means, but if it continues to put out content like the last 6 or so seasons? I'll watch it forever, probably. I can't get tired of it, been here since season 1, at times it was the only thing keeping me going. Basically, yeah. I want season 7...and maybe 8...9 could be nice too?
  6. I honestly really relate to this moral a lot. I can understand that you're supposed to get better with practice, because practice is supposed to be good, improve your skills and all that, but for some people having pressure put on you for something can be utterly miserable, and suck the fun right out of something. It's something I actually have experience with. I used to really like writing when I was a kid, I enjoyed writing stories of all kinds. They varied in quality, some were kinda bad, but I started to write some stuff that was overall pretty decent, I was kind of proud of it, even had one teacher call my mom in for a meeting on how good one particular piece was. Then the pressure came. My mom wanted me to write stories for her, everyone was pushing on me to develop this talent, write better and better, practice, practice, practice. It started to get frustrating, I wasn't really enjoying it anymore. Sure, the practice was good, but the pressure, and the constant pushing to do this thing even when I didn't feel like it just got unpleasant. I would procrastinate writing because I just didn't want to do it anymore, and the quality of it started to go downhill fast. I probably never would have been a "Professional" writer of any kind, I really doubt that. But it could have been a fun hobby, I could have written fanfic's or something, or if I really stretched I maybe could have gotten a bit of money from writing requests. Except I haven't written anything in years, and I have no desire to. It's just not fun anymore, I think of it as work, it's nothing but a chore, and nothing's ever good enough. So, I really relate to Pinkie and Fluttershy here. I don't think they wanted to play the game "Professionally", they just wanted to have some fun, I don't think it's that they didn't want to practice at all, but the harsh regime, and all the pushing by everypony to do well got to them. For Rainbow and AJ who are really into athletics, they thrive off this, but for ponies like Pinkie and Flutters, it's detrimental. Also, Snails was great. I never thought I'd say that, but he was. I'd like to see more of him like this.
  7. That's possible as well, but if nobody else picks up that torch, it's an unfortunate place to leave the series. Personally, this one bothers me even more than the Jak series, because it's such a Huge cliffhanger, the kind that's just begging for another part. I believe Sly 4 didn't sell amazingly, so maybe that's why? Anyway, I'll just keep hoping for a fifth game, even if it ends the series...As long as it doesn't end on another cliffhanger, that would just be a cruel joke.
  8. Sly is pretty cartoony for sure, but that really wouldn't fit in with the rest of the series, which has pretty tight continuity. In the original games, events that happened in the last game always had an effect on future games. You defeat the main villain Clockwerk at the end of game one, and game two is about trying to stop him from being resurrected. Bentley's legs get broken at the end of 2, and he's in a wheelchair in 3, etc. The Cartoonish Continuity wipe thing has never really been something Sly has done.
  9. Jak 4 and Sly 5. The Jak and Sly series were two of my favorites as a kid, since I grew up with a PS2, but they've both sort of vanished these days. The ending of Jak 3 hints at Jak and Daxter going on many future adventures, as well as a bit of a tease about what those might hold, but after that game all we got was a Racing spin-off, a game all about Daxter taking place inbetween the first and second games, and a very mediocre game by a different developer. Naughty Dog apparently had an idea for a new Jak game, but instead of continuing the old series, they planned a "Realistic" gritty reboot, and scrapped it to make the Last of Us. While it's not necessarily a cliffhanger, the promise of future adventures at the end of 3 still makes me crave more, and it's unlikely at this point it will ever happen. As for Sly, the original Developers Sucker Punch originally left the series off with the Trilogy, which was a good ending. But then Sanzaru games came along to do a 4th game, which I was really excited about! Despite a few flaws I overall liked the game...But Sanzara decided to end the game on a huge Cliffhanger, and have said they have no further plans for a new Sly game...So, they revived the series, for one game...Just to make a cliffhanger? That's just cruel. At least the chance of a Sly 5 happening is more likely than Jak 4, since the most recent Sly game was only a few years ago, but I still have a strong feeling it won't happen. Sanzaru isn't planning on it at least.
  10. Both sound interesting to me. But personally, I think I'd prefer an EQG show, for a few reasons. More Sunset, the possibility of tackling life lessons and Friendship problems that the main Pony show might not be able to because of it's setting, extra development for the human mane six to set them more apart from their pony counterparts, more Sunset, more potential for stories involving how magic from Equestria effects the human world, possibly dealing with slightly more mature topics, more Sunset... Plus, it's just more familiar at this point. We've had 3, soon to be 4 movies and some fun shorts set in the EQG world, I already know I like it. Guardians of Harmony could definitely be fun, because I do like the action/adventure side of MLP, but I like it more as something that only happens sometimes, and a full series of it might not be as interesting to me. ...I mentioned more Sunset, right?
  11. This was one of my favorite book series as a kid. I read everything from the first three "Seasons" to most of the Super edition books, the field guides, the Manga, etc. Sorta lost interest part of the way through the 4th season though. It wasn't bad, but I was just having more and more trouble keeping up with it all at the time, plus I was finding new interests. I've thought about getting back into it, but I feel like I'd have to reread it all from the beginning, and that's a real daunting task these days with just how much of it there is now.
  12. If you like platformers, the Crash Bandicoot trilogy would be some really good games to try. More specifically 2 and 3, which are a lot of fun to play through, and even more fun if you like going for 100%. 1's aged a bit and I wouldn't recommend it as highly, but it's still a good game. 2's probably the best starting point. Just recently played them myself and really enjoyed them. If you like stealth and heavily story-based games, the first Metal Gear Solid is a pretty good choice. It's controls are a bit clunky, but the gameplay is still pretty enjoyable, and the story and writing are fantastic.
  13. Considering Granny Smith was there for the founding of Ponyville, which was supposedly a long while ago, I think they can live a pretty decent amount of time. Now, Granny might not be the representation for the "Average" pony, but I get the feeling they may actually live longer than us humans, or are at least capable of doing so. No real way to tell with Alicorns though. I don't really believe they're actually immortal, but considering Celestia and Luna are over a thousand years old, they can obviously live for a really long time. I remember one writer though stating that Twilight wouldn't outlive her friends, so I wonder if there's a difference between the life spans of Ponies turned into Alicorns, and ponies born alicorns. There's also this line, yeah. It could be that the Crystal Ponies just have longer life spans, or perhaps the spell they were put under "Preserved" them for all of that time. Or maybe ponies just live for 1000 years naturally. It's all pretty much headcanon at this point, there's not enough info to be sure of anything.
  14. Guess I'm just some plague to be avoided.

  15. Bored. Very, very bored.

  16. I'm not in school anymore and haven't been for a few years, yet the title of this thread still made cold shivers of terror run down my spine. All you poor school people have my sympathy, whether you need it or not.
  17. Alicorn, because yeah...Magic and Flight, why wouldn't I pick that? But then everyone would hate me for being an OP Gary Stu or something like that...So, I guess Unicorn is cool enough.
  18. Been a while since I posted a status, do I have anything positive to say now?...No, I feel terrible as always, that's life.

  19. I don't think she's really a tomboy, or a girly girl, or even inbetween... She's Pinkie Pie. She's got a style all her own.
  20. I can see that. I was expecting more time spent on the whole game brought to life idea, with some more adventure and action, when it ended up only being a small portion of the episode. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of it, but I still liked the episode for what it was. The dissapointment some people have though makes sense.
  21. Not really going to comment on your opinion of the episode, I disagree personally, but I can understand where you're coming from. However, your thoughts on Discord interest me. You're right, Discord's pretty whiny, like a... And I fully agree, Discord is at times a lot like a 5 year old, or just a child in general, despite being thousands of years old, and according to some info from the comics, probably even older than that, he's really immature. He's like a child in an adults body with godlike powers. But, that's part of why I like him so much. He needs to learn the most basic of things about friendship, because he's never really had a "Friend" before. He comes across as whiny and selfish a lot, but when a kid does that, you're supposed to try and teach them how to behave properly. And in a lot of ways, Discord feels like a kid, but I think he's "Growing up" slowly but surely, bit by bit. Of course, if you don't find his antics amusing, this will probably be more annoying than endearing or interesting. But your complaint about him being like a whiny 5 year old is just something I wanted to comment on, since to me, that's a part of what I like about him.
  22. One detail I find kind of interesting was Spike's hero of choice. In all past appearances of him fantasizing himself as some hero, he's always been some traditional looking buff Knight character. But here in this game he instead chooses to be an old, wise and powerful wizard, he's even got a beard. Sounds kinda like a certain bearded wizard Twilight idolizes...Wonder if that's something that influenced his choice. I find it kind of cute to think that Spike maybe picked his character based off of a desire to be the kind of hero Twilight would admire. The inspiration for his beautiful Princess Shmarity is a real mystery to me though. :-P
  23. Who says they haven't been married? 1000 years is a long time, and even counting sources other than the show, like the books and comics, we still don't know about everything that's happened in that time. Maybe they're not married right now, but that doesn't mean they never were. Their spouses could have passed on, or they broke up for some reason or another. Though, I'd imagine it'd be hard for Luna to get married during those 1000 years on the moon.
