  1. Most people who are depressed don't go on killing sprees.
  2. Being bubbly and adorable is likely how she deals with depression. Short of her actually explaining her problems, the best we can do is observe the circumstances, make assessments, and ultimately speculate. I just hate seeing her upset.
  3. I meant she's not insane in the sense everyone tries to see her as: vicious and bloodthirsty. Madness has many forms, and, more importantly, many sizes. One small slice is enough to make things seem "different". Depression is actually worse; the void of the mind is more terrifying than any gorefest.
  4. Pinkamena is not crazy. She's hurt. When she thought everypony abandoned her, she fell into a brutal despair that resulted in her trying to "make new friends". Rather than an insane inspiration, it was morose desperation in an attempt to ignore her own depression. Her memorable eye-twitch was from stress; she had no desire to harm anypony or fly into a rage. Like many of us, she just wanted to not be alone. Final note: "Cupcakes" is just a single fanfic that made a mountain out of dust. It has no bearing on Pinkie's actual personality.
  5. Fictional cladistics is just a fun hobby.
  6. There's something people tend to not notice about dinosaurs: they're animals, not monsters. Fluttershy would love the chance to make new friends, especially when they can help keep everypony safe against actual monstrosities.
  7. The Heart is the phylactery of the empire; it guarantees its continued existence. Through dark magic, he it made his as well; a "storage unit" of the soul. As cheesy as it sounds, love really is the best defense against "evil" (for lack of a better term). Cadence's powers center on that powerful emotion... but there's always a limit. She reached it.
  8. A former student who wanted more than he had, and fell into madness. Probably. Still, the fact his magical aura is almost identical to that of "alicorn magic", as demonstrated by Celestia, has to be more than coincidence. We'll just have to wait and see.
  9. Twilight didn't actually travel back in time; she just entered an astral state that showcased the past (which is why she couldn't interact with Celestia). Oh, sorry I forgot about her actual travel after she snuck into the library. Then again, one pony isn't that hard. An entire kingdom is unprecedented.
  10. Ironically, his easy defeat was due to his greatest advantage; the Crystal Heart. He basically turned it into a horcrux; that connection not only makes him essentially immortal, but would've been the major mechanic in his banishment of the empire. As long as it stays full of hope and happiness, the Heart will ensure the safety of the empire. If not...
  11. That would be better; carnivores have had enough trouble from humans.
  12. In this case, I'd prefer to be wrong. He scares the hell out of me.
  13. I'm not too fond of killing carnivores. Just a personal preference.
