  3. 3-7/10 That response was actually for Hovershy XD, you ninja'd me.
  4. 4/10 Don't know how famous you are all around, but you're probably famous enough on the fluttershy fanclub.
  5. ?/10 I have no clue. You may be someone I recognized but recently changed their name.
  6. Bronies are merely a collective of individuals that have a common interest. Each of these individuals contribute (or don't) to society to varying degrees. As a collective, sometimes we do charities. Beyond that, I couldn't say. Most contributions of the fandom, beside a few charities, are to the fandom itself in the from of fan art-music-etc.
  7. 6/10 Famous for being Questioner's stalker.
  8. I do all the time. I work graveyard shift...back in college I stayed up all night to cram for tests and fill out my sketch assignments. 25 sketches in less than 6 hours for figure drawing...oh lawdy. Why did I wait last minute to do that shit?
  9. @, *Anger diffused by D'aaw* Yeah, I could always do that...but then again, high schoolers.
  10. :okiedokielokie: grr.... I no worries. If there is any upshot, I think (want to believe) I age slower than other mortals. I still get mistaken for a 16-18 year old everywhere I go.
  11. I'm turning 27 in two months...That's just three years away from 30. That's horrific to me.
  12. So I clearly have more than 1 word, but it's not letting me submit my post...halp.
  13. Ha! Of course I don't care what people think! My internal dialog: Way to make an impression that you're a strong minded, free thinking individual! No one will think you have insecurities now. :okiedokielokie: Don't you dare spit on Lovecraft's grave...
  14. Cars can be blue too. Weird band name, but they exist.
  15. I should shoot myself in the foot. This entire time I had Ashleigh Ball and Andrea Libmen mixed up.

;_; my shame knows no bounds.

    3. Log Lady

      Log Lady

Names are of little consequence... I know that Andrea Libmen does Pinkie's voice (right?) but that's about it.... I can name about 10 actors/tresses tops, most of which were at their peak of fame a while ago....

  16. Scoped out the place I'll be moving into soon. It's a bit run down but for $150 a month...hell ya.

There is a roach issue that needs to be handled. If my new roommates don't, I will. Add in some shelves, and get some new wallpaper and the place will look like new. Best part is, my job is in walking distance of the place.

      The Crimson Cross

      That's awesome!

Even better when your job is in walking distance! I don't know how you'll go around exterminating the roach infestation though.

I'd hire an exterminator, but I hear they're quite costly. Luckily the fellow I'm renting to handles all those kinds of issues himself!

Roach infestation should be handled with a little bit of pesticide. 'Combat' works wonders.

  17. @@Steel Accord, I do stretches and squats sometimes... *walks away in shame* My kung fu is weak.
  18. Very much so. Hmm...do you do any exercise regiments? (I do very little to be frank)
  19. @@Steel Accord, Learn something new everyday. Look out world, Krav Magafu is comin your way! Not sure what else I have to add to discussion. Martial arts is good for one other thing. Movies!
  20. Lol. But I really don't see that happening with Krav Maga. It's quick efficient, and uses what works. Nothing really spiritual about it at all. Kung-Fu was developed by Buddist Monks, so it was always wrapped around a spiritual philosophy. (not saying that it was invented for pragmatic purposes at the time)
  21. I can't say I disagree. Seems to be true in a lot of disciplines in life. Never saw that episode of Avatar. One good thing about MMA, I suppose, is that it gets people interested in some of the arts at the very least. Though personally, I don't find much entertainment value in watching two dudes play grapple with each other for half an hour between kicks and punches. Same reason I never got into watching boxing, because half the time the boxers are locked in a 'hug'. On the subject of grappling, however, Krav Maga gets a lot of flack for not being in the MMA a whole lot, but there is a reason for that. Grappling is important for MMA. Krav Maga stresses practical self defense. It's what Israeli soldiers are taught to take down terrorists. The last thing you want to do in a street fight of any kind is get caught up in a ground fight. Reason being, is you don't know who's gonna jump in at any given moment. You don't want to be on the ground, even if your gaining the upper hand. So naturally, Krav Maga doesn't teach grappling as much as it would teach getting out of grapples and getting back on your feet. Thus its not featured much in MMA, if at all.
  22. I believe Szu Tzu is right as far waging war goes. Not everything is about war though. I'm interested in martial arts in part for self defense and the other part, the "art." Self-defense, Sport, and Internal peace are the main focus's of martial arts. If we are going for practical self defense, I'm actually very partial to Bruce Lee's philosophical take on martial arts. Lot of people think Jeet Kun Do is a style, but the heart and core of Bruce Lee's martial philosophy is that that there is 'no style' The problem with 'styles' is they're full of rules. You have to follow them. But real fights don't follow any rules. That being said, what's the point in following rules of a style? In Karate there is this concept (I just recently learned of it) called Shu Ha Ri. -source Learn the rules, break the rules, recreate the rules. Fill your cup, then empty it. This goes along a lot with Bruce Lee's philosophy of 'no style' and 'being like water.' At first glance, it also seems to be the heart of MMA fighting...except the problem with MMA being that its mostly learned for the ring, a place full of 'rules' MMA was never on Bruce Lee's level. When it comes to the most pragmatic approach to self defense theory, there is one guy that I really peel my ears open and listen too. Bae313. Below is a video he post about why Escrima sucks. (don't worry, he made a following video about why its great) Guy's an old marine and I thought he was full of crap at first like a lot of people who talk about fighting on youtube, but after listening to him, I had my mind changed. He just made sense. Not that I would let it stop me from learning Escrima (any self defense knowledge is better than none) and there are merits to learning besides the self defense aspect.
