  2. Besides for MLP, Steven Universe, for a multitude of reasons.
  3. No. I'm with you m8 ;-; Am I the only one who thinks it's dumb when people get angry because a 5 year old doesn't know what an Atari 2600 is?
  4. Nah. Am I the only one who doesn't like Sonic Adventure 2, and doesn't see the appeal in it?
  5. No. Babies are just annoying to me Am I the only one who liked Sonic Lost World?
  6. Bumping this thread just to say.. Sonic Lost World - It's been given rather mediocre and poor reviews, and while I agree the story is pretty bad and it's a bit more gimmicky, I feel it's designed pretty well, and really fun to play, and that's coming from someone that's only played the 3DS version so far. In fact, I think it's much better than both the Adventure games combined. Hell, I'd probably say it's in my Top 5 Sonic games. Also, the FPS genre. Sure, they seem to get a little overused, but I feel there are tons of good FPS games like DooM and Team Fortress 2 out there. Heck, even Call of Duty has it's moments.
  7. lolnope. Most people do, including me. Am I the only one who likes the New Super Mario Bros games?
  8. The United States - Politics and political arguments. Granted, I have mostly liberal thoughts, but man, why is there all this arguing about who's the best option for President and all that. Why can't we just settle something that makes us all happy?
  9. Nope. I find it rather stupid. Am I the only one who doesn't like Phineas and Ferb?
  10. Well.. this was probably the biggest disappointment when I first watched it! The first information of Day of the Diesels was released around August 2010, which was even before that year's special, Misty Island Rescue, was released on DVD and while it was shown in selected cinemas. It was said that it would be about Percy feeling replaced, which leads to him accidentally letting the diesels getting hold of Thomas. And due to the cliffhanger of Diesel 10 at the end of Misty Island Rescue, it was revealed that Diesel 10 would return. And with this slight bit of information, I was excited, even more than when The Great Discovery, Hero of the Rails and Misty Island Rescue were coming out. Despite this however, I never actually got Day of the Diesels on DVD. And well, that was for 2 reasons. For one, I was going through a phase between late 2011 to mid 2013 where I was kind of sick of Thomas and Friends. This was mainly due to how bad the series got after Sharon Miller became head writer to me, and I felt like I was growing out of it at the time. Second of all, I actually watched the special before it came out on DVD, as it ended up airing on PBS Sprout in the US, and while I didn't have cable TV, some guy recorded it and uploaded to Youtube so.. yeah. However, when I watched it, I found it to be rather.. meh at the time. And around 2 years later when I re-watched it, I wasn't a big fan. Neither was I when I rewatched it for this review. So, with that said, here's my review of Day of the Daleks.. I mean Day of the Diesels. This review comes from the opinions of the poster himself. This does not reflect the opinions of the rest of the community. Plot: A new fire engine named Belle comes to Sodor, and Thomas starts spending lots of time with her more than Percy, leading to Percy feeling left out, and when another fire engine named Flynn is coming to Sodor, it makes Percy feel worse. Diesel starts talking to him and becomes his "friend," and after he says to, Percy goes to the Dieselworks where he sees Diesel 10, and realizes how broken down the Dieselworks is.. As Thomas starts spending more time with Belle and Flynn, Percy ends up befriending the diesels, which leads the diesels to try to take over the Steamworks. After Victor goes away and Thomas goes to the Dieselworks, the diesels trick Percy into leading them to the Steamworks, causing them to takeover, while the Dieselworks nearly burns down. After Belle and Flynn put the fire out, the engines take revenge on the diesels, and Sir Topham Hatt talks down Diesel 10 for the act, however he finds out that the Dieselworks are in bad condition, and the engines all rebuild them. The Good: Similar to Misty Island Rescue, the soundtrack and animation are pretty good. The fire/smoke effects in the special actually look really good, as well as the renders of Diesel 10 and the newcomers. The animation is also helped by the good camera angles seen, like towards the end where the Steam Team all race to the Steamworks. That, along with the music, actually made the scene a bit intense. The music in this special, both the background pieces, intro and song all go well with the special, and are pretty catchy to listen to. But, other than that, there are some good points, like the dialogue is improved from Misty Island Rescue. There's not much rhyming and alliteration seen here, which is really good considering how tiring it got S13-15, as well as Misty Island Rescue. There are a few lines with alliteration, but it isn't enough to get annoying after a while, which is fine. Plus, at the beginning where Thomas and Percy letting the workmen use their tankers to fight the fire that happened to the shed was a bit of a throwback to the Season 5 episode, Thomas Percy and Old Slow Coach. That was actually nice to see. The Bad: If you read my Misty Island Rescue review, I mentioned that Thomas makes a remark which kind of puts down Diesel for being, well.. a diesel. To be quite frank with that, it returns here, and it feels even worse. The engines, especially Thomas, constantly put down diesels for no reason even though they've actually been friends with diesels before (i.e. Mavis, Rusty and Salty). In the beginning of the special alone, Thomas states "you shouldn't go to the Dieselworks, diesels can be devious." That kind of thing is one of my biggest problems with Thomas and Friends S13-16, diesels are constantly put down for no other reason besides being diesels and they stereotype diesels as devious and mean, and most of the time, the diesels are put in the wrong for it, and the steam engines are never talked down to or anything. Didn't Calling All Engines prove they can get along, and speak out against this sort of thing in the first place? It kind of feels like they're teaching kids that it's okay to make fun of others for being different, which is just plain awful. Although at least here, the diesels actually get something good out of it, and get their Dieselworks repaired at least, but still. It's just.. ugh. It makes the steam engines seem like jerks, and it helps make them characterized rather poorly here for me. Another thing I dislike about this special is that I'm not really a fan of the whole concept of the Dieselworks. For one, it feels kind of pointless. Do they really need to have two different works/repair yards for steam engines and diesels? Not to mention, some diesels like Arry and Bert were actually shown being repaired AT THE STEAMWORKS. So, was there really much of a purpose of having the two different places to repair the different engines other than selling merchandise? I doubt it. Plus, either way, I don't really see why the Dieselworks would be left to be rusted down with barely working machines by railway so much, especially considering that the Dieselworks is still a part of the Sodor railway. And I'm really not a fan of Percy's characterization. While I do give it credit towards the end for standing up for the diesels, most of the special he's portrayed to be incredibly gullible and incredibly whiny. There are often times in the special where he gives in to the Diesels' demands that I feel are rather unbelievable for his character. He has been shown to have his moments like that in the classic series (i.e. Percy and the Signal), but I kind of doubt he'd go to the point of leading Diesel 10 and the others to the Steamworks, it just makes little sense to me. I feel him going that far because of Thomas abandoning him feels a rather odd to me. The new characters in the special are kind of iffy to me. I mean, Den and Dart had their moments, but Belle doesn't really have too much of a character, plus her design is strange, as her being a steam engine (that runs on water) as well as a fire engine would take up quite a bit of water, and it makes things a bit unrealistic, and Flynn.. I think I talked enough about him here. Then there are 3 background characters introduced for no reason besides merchandise, named Paxton, Norman and Sidney, in which all they do in the special is laugh for a few seconds. Sure, Paxton was developed in Blue Mountain Mystery as well as Season 17, but the others were again introduced for no reason besides merchandise. And what's even worse is that Sidney had no wheels and is only hoisted up on a crane, and after a fire nearly burns down the Dieselworks, it's unexplained what happened to him until Season 17. Just, wha..? It's just a good thing Brenner is here, or he would be assumed dead! The plot itself doesn't really feel like anything original, and it isn't exactly solid. I feel like I've seen the whole "good guy accidentally gives in to antagonists' demands" quite a few times in other films and TV shows (in fact, it was kind of in Return of Harmony Part 1, except well, that felt more believable). Not to mention, there are still a few plotholes seen here. For one, when Percy goes to the Dieselworks for the first time.. why didn't he just deliver Flynn's hose to the Search and Rescue Center first, and make sure it wouldn't get lost or anything? And even if he didn't do that, when he's looking for it later in the special, why didn't he even think of asking the diesels about it and/or looking around the Dieselworks? And early in the special, when Thomas and Percy help Belle after she runs out of water (go figure), there's no switches in sight, and they're on 3 different tracks, so it's not explained how they were able to connect to her. As for the antagonists, they were.. not too much to talk about really. Diesel 10 wasn't much better than he was in Thomas and the Magic Railroad (in which I didn't care for him in the first place), and the personalities of the diesels in general are pretty bland and generic. So, I really didn't care much for them. The Ugly: This movie's existence [2] Overall Opinions: Don't like this special. To me, it's really not much better than Misty Island Rescue, which I kind of hated in the first place. The only good things of the special are practically drowned by the bad things, and the problems in general make this special really hard to watch. Overall, another really bad special. 12. Game I found on another forum. To play, count in whole numbers as high as possible, but you have to skip the number 7 or any number that has to do with the number 7, which includes of multiples of 7 (i.e. 14, 21, 49) or has the number 7 as a digit (i.e. 17, 700). So basically, Count like - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 (7 is skipped), 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 (14 is skipped because it's a multiple), 16, 18 (17 is skipped because it has the digit) However, if a user counts one of these numbers, the game starts back at 1, so.. User 1 - 5 User 2 - 6 User 3 - 7 User 4 - 1 (since user 3 counted to 7) so let's start!1 1
