Meaning if people have good time and link it to the rp, it means it's a good rp. Look how many people it brought together! If I ever do a RP I would be pleased if off topic discussions take place time to time...

This is why I honestly want to set up a chatroom/forum for just general discussion of ideas and goofing about. It would simply be title "The Chat". Seems like a simple enough idea. But honestly, sometimes, I think people just get too rules oriented and forget that there are people (or ponies, you know who you are!) that just are having fun. I've done it a couple times, messed around, talked about random stuff and enjoyed life. But hey, Missklang, you are not alone.

I understand you. But I kinda understand them too. I mean, they have this giant forum with tons of people. It's more easy to just strictly apply the rules. They just don't have time to look deep in each case of rulebreaking. On a long term, it's beneficial. Even if the peace and quiet require occasional sacrificing of fun...
